Georgian National Tourism Administration reported that 104,557 international visitors arrived in Georgia by land in the 1st quarter, making up 80.3% of total number of visitors. If compared with the same period of 2020, the volume has dropped 8.2 times.

FINANCE MINISTRY: YIELD TO BE PAID ON NEW EUROBONDS WILL BE SIGNIFICANTLY LOWER THAN IN 2011

Eurobonds placed in 2011 ($500 million) have been already covered and placement of new Eurobonds is planned to announce officially on April 13, Georgian Finance Ministry declared today. In the released statement, the Ministry promised to provide detailed information to the public in the next few days.

FINAL VERSION OF GEORGIA’S LAND BALANCE TO BE PUBLISHED BY JULY 2024

Georgian Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture declared that new land balance of the country will be drawn up, which final version will be published before July 1, 2024. The data will be published on the website of the National Agency for Steady Land Management and Land Usage Monitoring.

GOVERNMENT: AGRICULTURAL LAND WORTH OVER 100M LARI COULD BE ADDITIONALLY PASSED INTO PRIVATE OWNERSHIP

Georgian government announced that amendments to the program of agricultural land resources’ availability will make possible to pass additional land area of up to 11,000 ha into private ownership. Privatization cost of these lands exceeds 100 million lari, the government said, noting that this initiative will affect about 2,206 private tenants.

IN 2020, 5 COMPANIES ACCOUNTED FOR 88.8% OF TOTAL LIABILITY INSURANCE PREMIUM

Georgian State Service for Insurance Supervision reported that in total premium, attracted by Georgian insurers in 2020 in liability insurance (25.3 million lari), 5 companies accounted for 88.8%, or 24.5 million lari. In comparison with 2019, changes happened only in two last positions of the top five.

Georgian State Service for Insurance Supervision reported that in total premium, attracted by Georgian insurers in insurance of land transport (except railway) in 2020 (116.7 million lari), 5 companies accounted for 71.8%, or 83.98 million lari. If compared with 2019, the top five has changed slightly.
