1. AUTHORITIES URGE RESIDENTS OF LARGE CITIES TO WEAR MASKS IN OPEN SPACE TOO
Politics

Interdepartmental coordination council, created by Georgian government for fight against COVID-19, addressed today population with strong recommendation to wear masks in the largest cities of the country, Tbilisi, Kutaisi and Batumi, even in open space, administration of the government reported.

In the last 24 hours, 1,759 new COVID-19 cases were detected in Georgia, of which 686 were recorded in Tbilisi, 487 – in Ajara, 356 – in Imereti region.

2. IN 9 MONTHS, GEORGIA’S TRADE WITH TURKEY REDUCED BY 13.1% Y-O-Y
Economics

Sakstat released estimation, according to which Georgia’s trade with Turkey in January-September amounted to $1.1 billion, reducing by 13.1% year-on-year. That volume makes up 13.8% of Georgia’s total foreign trade turnover for the period, placing Tukey on the top among Georgia’s largest trade partners.

3. IN 9 MONTHS, GEORGIA’S TRADE WITH RUSSIA REDUCED BY 9.5% Y-O-Y

Sakstat released estimation, according to which Georgia’s trade with Russia in January-September amounted to $934.6 million, reducing by 9.5% year-on-year. That volume makes up 11.5% of Georgia’s total foreign trade turnover for the period, placing Russia the second among Georgia’s largest trade partners.

4. IN 9 MONTHS, GEORGIA’S TRADE WITH CHINA INCREASED BY 12% Y-O-Y

Sakstat released estimation, according to which Georgia’s trade with China in January-September amounted to $864.9 million, increasing by 12% year-on-year. That volume makes up 10.7% of Georgia’s total foreign trade turnover for the period, placing China the third among Georgia’s largest trade partners.

5. 9-MONTH PLAN OF PRIVATIZATION INCOME FULFILLED BY 109.3%
Economics

Georgian State Treasury reported that revenues of the state budget, received in January-September of this year under the article “reduction of non-financial assets” (privatization), amounted to 79.72 million lari. That volume makes up 109.3% of the plan for the period, Treasury noted.

6. IN 9 MONTHS, RESERVE FUND OF THE GOVERNMENT ALLOCATED 15.93M LARI
Economics

Georgian State Treasury reported that reserve fund of Georgian government allocated in January-September of this year 15.93 million lari in 8 cases in total. However, Treasury noted that factual spending made up 11.49 million lari (or 72.1% of allocated sum).

7. IN 9 MONTHS, ACCOUNT BALANCE OF THE STATE BUDGET INCREASED 4.6 TIMES

Georgian State Treasury reported that account balance of the country’s state budget as of January 1 made up 443.71 million lari. As of October 1, the volume made up already 2.03 billion lari, increasing, respectively, 4.6 times.

8. CONSTRUCTION OF TBILISI-SAGAREJO ROAD SECTION BEGINS
Economics

Georgian Roads Department declared that within construction of highway to Kakheti region, construction of Tbilisi-Sagarejo road section begins. The matter concerns 4-lane asphalt concrete road on the section, having length of 35.2 km.

9. WITH ASSISTANCE OF EBRD, “TBILISI TRANSPORT COMPANY” PROCURED 226 BUSES
Economics

Tbilisi City Hall reported that municipal Tbilisi Transport Company, with assistance of EBRD, procured 226 buses, having length of 12 m, which comply with Euro-6 standard. As the City Hall noted, part of buses already arrived to the city, while others will be brought in step by step until March 2021.
