Georgia’s Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili declared that in the current difficult geopolitical situation, not assigning the EU candidate status to Georgia “would be a very great political mistake”. The Premier said this while took part in a thematic discussion within the framework of the Global Security Forum (GLOBSEC) in Bratislava.

IN 2022, SHARE OF GEORGIAN ENTERPRISES THAT OFFERED A NEW PRODUCT TO THE MARKET INCREASED SLIGHTLY

Sakstat reported that share of enterprises, which offered during 2022 a new or significantly improved product to the market, made up 6.9% (against of 6.4% in 2021). Accordingly, the share has increased by 0.5 percentage points (pp).

IN 2022, GEORGIAN ENTERPRISES’ ACCESS TO INTERNET SLIGHTLY IMPROVED

Sakstat reported that as of January 1, 84.4% of Georgian enterprises had access to the internet. A year ago (i.e. as of January 1, 2022), this rate made up 84.4% (i.e. year-on-year growth in 2022 made up 0.2 percentage points).

IN Q1, NUMBER OF MOBILE INTERNET USERS IN GEORGIA INCREASED BY 7% Y-O-Y

In the 1st quarter, total number of Georgian mobile networks’ subscribers, who use internet services, made up 4.1 million, Georgian National Communication Commission reported. If compared with the same period of last year, the number has increased by 7%, the Commission noted.

IN 2022, REVENUES OF “SILKNET” INCREASED BY 14%

In 2022, revenues of Georgian telecom operator SilkNet amounted to 473 million lari, increasing by 14% year-on-year. At that, revenues from mobile communication services made up 57% of total commercial income.

BONDS OF “SRG REAL ESTATE” AND “GEOSTEEL” WERE ADMITTED TO TRADING SYSTEM OF GEORGIAN STOCK EXCHANGE

From May 25, bonds of LLC SRG Real Estate and LLC GeoSteel have been admitted to the trading system, the Georgian Stock Exchange reported. Bonds of SRG Real Estate, admitted to the listing of A category, were issued on March 13, their maturity expires on May 13, 2026.
