    National Movement itself named the document “naturally harsh” and declared that it reflects all the problems that actually exist in the country, the article says.

    In near future, Georgian Banks Association is going to apply to the Justice Ministry with legislative proposal on introduction of cashless settlement for private mortgagers.

    According to head of the Association Zurab Gvasalia, in case of approval of these amendments, notary will not be authorized to register the agreement, if borrower and lander will not have bank accounts.

    The non-governmental organization points that several officials have taken banking loans shortly after their appointments.

    Prosecutor’s Office started criminal proceedings against former President Mikheil Saakashvili, accusing him of mass suppressions of a meeting on November 7, 2007, invasion in broadcasting company Imedi and seizure of property of businessman Badri Patarkatsishvili.

    Besides Saakashvili, proceedings were launched against his closest allies: former interior minister Vano Merabishvili, former mayor of Tbilisi Gigi Ugulava (both are already under arrest because of other accusation), former justice minister Zurab Adeishvili and former defense minister David Kezerashvili (both are hiding abroad).

  17. “BLACK SEA PRODUCTS” DECLARED BANKRUPT

    Tbilisi city court declared LLC Black Sea Products bankrupt and cancelled the company’s registration in business registry.

    At that, the court pointed that Black Sea Products’ request on start of insolvency proceeding was rejected, as the company was unable to cover court costs by own assets.
