    Head of Center for Economic Development and former president of National Bank of Georgia (NBG) Roman Gotsiridze considers that “main reason of lari devaluation are problems in the country’s economy, which are reinforced by unhealthy budget and which are influenced (non-essentially though) by external factors”.

    “They are searching for new reasons of lari devaluation, (…) approaching now to remittances”, Gotsiridze wrote on his Facebook page and added: “Despite decline of remittances in ending months of the last year in comparison with the same period of 2013, decrease through a year was insignificant”.

    “If this agreement is implemented, most likely, Russian air companies (including owned by the state and personally by Putin) will enter Georgian market with dumping prices”, said Japaridze.

    At the presentation, governor of Shida Kartli region Zurab Rusishvili declared that 1.55 million lari was spent on 9 water wells, drilled within infrastructural projects near so-called dividing line (i.e. nearby territory, occupied by Russia).

    Oppositional United National Movement declares that approval of budget-2015 is unacceptable without pension growth for all retired pensioners, the magazine reports. Last growth of retirement pension the Parliament “approved in 2012, at the expense of the budget, left by National Movement, and pension has reached 150 lari”, the party notes.
