United National Movement states that degrading by Fitch Ratings of outlook for Georgia from “positive” to “stable” means that the agency does not assume considerable advance of economy of Georgia in long-term period. According to TI Georgia, Georgian branch of Transparency International, special representative of Georgian Prime Minister in relationships with Russia and his consultant received since November 2012 to the present the payment of 251,681 lari. In particular, 187,681 lari was paid to special representative Zurab Abashidze, and 64,000 lari – to his consultant Giorgi Kajaia.

Interior Ministry declared that head of financial department of United Company of Water Supply of Georgia Tamar Pkhovelishvili appropriated budgetary funds of 2.23 million lari during the period from March 31, 2013 to December 31, 2014. To remind, Regional Development and Infrastructure Ministry applied to anti-corruption department of Interior Ministry on February 4, requesting investigation of inconsistences, revealed during analysis of accounting reports of United Company of Water Supply of Georgia for 2014.

Zurab Abashidze, Georgian Prime Minister’s special representative in relationship with Russia, declared today that “we have to agree with Russian side when we begin practical implementation” of agreement, signed in 2011. Speaking at a briefing in administration of the government, Abashidze pointed that the agreement concerns “the basic principles, connected to mechanism of customs administration and monitoring of commodity trade between the government of Georgia and the government of Russia” and noted that its implementation will be “one of central topics of meeting with Grigory Karasin”, Russian deputy foreign minister.

Main Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia declared that despite obligations, existing between the countries in sphere of extradition, Ukraine refused to extradite Georgia’s ex-president Mikheil Saakashvili and ex-Minister of Justice Zurab Adeishvili. Ukrainian side “did not cooperate with the Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia in issue of extradition to Georgia” of the mentioned wanted persons, the Main Prosecutor’s Office said in the statement, released today.
