IN 2020, GEORGIA’S TRADE TURNOVER WITH TURKEY DECREASED BY 12.2%
Sakstat released estimation, according to which Turkey remained Georgia’s largest trading partner in 2020, accounting for 14.1% of the country’s total turnover. Georgia’s trade with this country amounted to $1.6 billion, reducing by 12.2% year-on-year.
IN 2020, GEORGIA’S TRADE TURNOVER WITH RUSSIA DECREASED BY 9.8%
Sakstat released estimation, according to which Russia remained Georgia’s second largest trading partner (after Turkey) in 2020, accounting for 11.7% of the country’s total turnover. Georgia’s trade with this country amounted to $1.3 billion, reducing by 9.8% year-on-year.
IN 2020, GEORGIA’S TRADE TURNOVER WITH CHINA INCREASED BY 9.6%
Sakstat released estimation, according to which China remained Georgia’s third largest trading partner (after Turkey and Russia) in 2020, accounting for 10.4% of the country’s total turnover. Georgia’s trade with this country amounted to $1.19 billion, increasing by 9.6% year-on-year.

Today, Georgia’s Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia had an online meeting with Odile Renaud-Basso, new president of EBRD.
While reporting this, administration of Georgian government indicated that EBRD has backed implementation of more than 250 projects in the country, worth over 4 billion EUR in total.

Today, Georgia’s Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia had a meeting in Tbilisi with Maciej Czura, head of the South Caucasus regional representation of European Investment Bank (EIB), administration of Georgian government reported.
According to the administration, the parties indicated that Georgia is one of the largest beneficiaries of EIB investments in terms of per capita.
CONSTRUCTION OF PARALLEL TUNNEL STARTED ON THE ROAD THROUGH RIKOTI PASS
Administration of Georgian government reported about start of construction of a tunnel on the road through the Rikoti Pass, which will be parallel to the existing one. Length of the parallel tunnel will be 1.8 km, 190 m of which have been already dug.
GEORGIAN SEEDS AND SAPLINGS PRODUCERS ASSOCIATION ESTABLISHED
With assistance of the EU and the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), Georgian Seeds and Saplings Association is established. At this stage, the Association unites 10 private Georgian sapling farms.
