IN Q2, REFINANCING CREDITS INCREASED BY 9.2% Q-O-Q, BUT DECREASED BY 23% Y-O-Y
National Bank of Georgia reported that 13 refinancing credits (7-day) were issued in the 2nd quarter, totaling to 12.68 billion lari.
If compared with the 1st quarter (11.61 billion lari), the volume has increased by 9.2%.
66.4% OF POPULATION IS CONNECTED TO WATER SUPPLY SYSTEM, 48.6% – TO SEWERAGE SYSTEM
Sakstat reported that as of December 31, 2017, there were 2.48 million people in Georgia (66.4% of population), who use water supply system. If compared with the same indicator of 2016, the number has increased by 8.1%.
NATIONAL SUBSOIL AGENCY: IN 6 MONTHS, 31.7M LARI IS MOBILIZED IN LOCAL AND CENTRAL BUDGETS
National Subsoil Agency reported that in 6 months of this year, 51 electronic tenders were announced for deposit extraction.
During the reporting period, 31.7 million lari is mobilized in local and central budgets, the Agency said.

REHABILITATION OF SAMADLO-TSKNETI-AKHALDABA ROAD IS COMPLETED
Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure reported about completion of rehabilitation of 4-km section of Samadlo-Tskhneti-Akhaldaba motor road. This section was damaged as a result of heavy rain, which caused deadly flood in Tbilisi on June 13, 2015.
WITHIN ITC PROJECT, RESEARCH OF SMALL AND MEDIUM-SIZED AGROPROCESSING ENTERPRISES IS CONDUCTED IN GEORGIA
Implementation of project of International Trade Center (ITC, joint agency of the World Trade Organization and the United Nations) in Georgia was started with research of small and medium-sized agroprocessing enterprises, Georgian Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture reported.
The Ministry noted that this stage of the project was carried out in cooperation with Georgia’s Export Development Association (EDA).
