PRIME MINISTER: WE WELCOME ANY ACTIVITY OF “ANAKLIA DEVELOPMENT CONSORTIUM”, WHICH WILL CAUSE SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF ANAKLIA PORT PROJECT

We welcome any activity from the side of Anaklia Development Consortium, which will cause successful completion of the project of Anaklia port, Georgia’s Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze assured.

“We do everything and more, we will take all steps, which will be necessary in order that Georgia had a deep-water port, and this port will be for sure”, the Premier assured.

NBG: IN Q1, RATIO OF SAVINGS TO GDP INCREASED BY 0.4 PP, WHILE ONE OF INVESTMENTS DECREASED BY 0.9 PP

National Bank of Georgia (NBG) reported that Georgia’s ratio of savings to GDP in the 1^st quarter made up 25.9%, increasing quarter-on-quarter by 0.4 percentage points (pp).

In turn, ratio of investments to GDP made up 32.4%, decreasing by 0.9 pp, NBG said.




NBG: IN Q2, NOMINAL EXCHANGE RATE OF LARI DEPRECIATED AGAINST THE US DOLLAR BY 2.7%, AGAINST EURO – BY 1.5%

National Bank of Georgia (NBG) reported that nominal exchange rate of lari in the 2^nd quarter has depreciated against the US dollar by 2.7% quarter-on-quarter. Against euro lari has depreciated by 1.5%.

“Short-term dynamics of lari exchange rate is influenced by many factors and reaction has to be carried out in various directions”, National Bank of Georgia (NBG) declared.

“We will act, seeking long-term stability of the rate and, in case of need of additional interference, we will use all available tools, including currency interventions, in order to not allow high inflation”, NBG said in the statement released today.




CONSTRUCTION OF DIGOMI VILLAGE – DIDGORI – TELOVANI ROAD IS COMPLETED

Tbilisi City Hall reported about completion of construction in Saburtalo district of 5-km road, connecting the village of Digomi with Telovani via Didgori.

The City Hall said that the capital budget allocated 2.8 million lari for implementation of the project.

“HUALING INSURANCE” IS ENGAGED IN INSURANCE OF LAND AND AIR TRANSPORT

Georgian State Service for Insurance Supervision reported that in total premium, attracted by Hualing Insurance as of March 31, insurance of civil liability in connection with use of land transport accounted for 32.2%. In this segment, the company attracted 461,809 lari, increasing the volume by 68.8% year-on-year.




IN Q1, INSURANCE OF LIABILITY IN CONNECTION WITH USE OF LAND TRANSPORT ACCOUNTED FOR 81.3% OF PORTFOLIO OF “KAMARA”

Georgian State Service for Insurance Supervision reported that in total premium, attracted by Kamara as of March 31, insurance of civil liability in connection with use of land transport accounted for 32.2%. In this segment, the company attracted 448,643 lari, increasing the volume by 63% year-on-year.




AGENCY OF STATE PROPERTY: 4M LARI WILL BE INVESTED IN CONSTRUCTION OF NEW HOTEL IN KUTAISI

Georgian National Agency of State Property declared that within the “50 Objects for Your Hotel” project, new hotel will be built in Kutaisi, in which 4 million lari will be invested.

The Agency said that for construction of the hotel, LLC Kutaisi Inn acquired on electronic auction state-owned plot of 2,250 square m with amortized buildings, paying 430,000 lari for the property.
