GEORGIA AND AZERBAIJAN DISCUSSED COOPERATION IN TRANSPORT AND COMMUNICATIONS SPHERE
Georgian Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development reported that within visit of Georgian delegation to Azerbaijan, issues of cooperation in sphere of transport and communications were discussed. Georgia’s Ministry of Economy Giorgi Gakharia held a meeting with his Azerbaijani counterpart Shahin Mustafayev.

NBG LEFT MONETARY POLICY RATE UNCHANGED
National Bank of Georgia (NBG) declared that its Monetary Policy Committee decided today to leave refinancing rate without change. As NBG explained, the decision is based on macroeconomic forecast, which expects that inflation will remain this year above the target (4%) due to influence of factors from the offer side.
ADB TO FUND THE 5TH PROJECT WITHIN INVESTMENT PROGRAM ON STEADY URBAN TRANSPORT
According to the government’s order, the Finance Ministry will apply to Asian Development Bank (ADB) for financing of the 5th project within investment program on steady urbanistic transport. The amount of financing makes up $36 million (in euro equivalent).

Multiprofile clinic in Mtskheta (Mtskheta medical center of St. King Mirian and Queen Nana) was opened after rehabilitation, conducted within universal healthcare program. As Ministry of Labor, Healthcare and Social Protection reported, 10 million lari were invested in the object during the last 3 years.
WORKING VERSION OF THE 3RD NATIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL ACTIONS PROGRAM IS READY
Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources Protection declared that working version of Georgia’s 3rd national environmental actions program (NEAP-3) is worked out with financial assistance of the EU. Environmental actions are calculated for 2017-2021.
IN 2016, INCOME FROM TV BROADCASTING INCREASED BY 13.1%, WHILE FROM RADIO BROADCASTING – DECREASED BY 7.6%
National Communication Commission reported that income from TV broadcasting amounted in 2016 to 96.1 million lari. If compared with 2015, the volume has increased by 13.1%, the Commission said.

Today, special managing director of LLC Georgian Manganese Nikoloz Chikovani held presentation of environmental action plan in the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources Protection. To remind, Tbilisi city court appointed Chikovani as special managing director in the company on May 11 by request of the Ministry, “for the purpose of ensuring compulsory execution of conditions of the mining license and environmental impact permission”.

POULTRY FARM IN MTSKHETA-MTIANETI FINANCED WITHIN UNIFIED AGROPROJECT
Agriculture Ministry reported that poultry farm in Mtskheta-Mtianeti region is financed within unified agroproject. Out of $280,000, invested in the enterprise, $140,000 was preferential agrocredit, while the rest sum was provided by the beneficiary.
