    GEORGIA AND SWITZERLAND SIGNED INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT ON CLIMATE CHANGE

    Georgia and Switzerland signed an intergovernmental agreement on climate change, reported Georgian Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture. The document was signed in Bern (Switzerland).

    IN A YEAR, POSITIONS INSIDE TOP 10 OF GEORGIA’S TRADE PARTNERS HAVE CHANGED

    Sakstat released estimation, according to which combined share of 10 largest trade partners in Georgia’s trade turnover for January-September ($10 billion) made up 69.7%. In the same period of 2020, this share made up 70.4% (respectively, year-on-year decrease made up 0.7 percentage points).


    IN 9 MONTHS, GEORGIA’S EXPORT TO EU COUNTRIES DECREASED BY 13% Y-O-Y, IMPORT INCREASED BY 18%

    Sakstat released estimation, according to which Georgia’s export to the EU countries in January-September amounted to $444.98 million, decreasing year-on-year by 13%. In Georgia’s total export, the EU countries accounted for 14.9% (against of 21.3% in the same period of 2020).


    IN 9 MONTHS, GEORGIA’S EXPORT TO CIS COUNTRIES DECREASED BY 15% Y-O-Y, IMPORT INCREASED BY 16%

    Sakstat released estimation, according to which Georgia’s export to the CIS countries in January-September amounted to $1.42 billion, decreasing year-on-year by 15%. In Georgia’s total export, the CIS countries accounted for 47.8% (against of 44.7% in the same period of 2020).


    ECONOMY MINISTER: BY INDICES OF ECONOMIC ACTIVITY, WE EXCEEDED THE PRE-PANDEMIC LEVEL

    Natia Turnava, Georgia’s Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, declared that “by indices of economic activity, we have exceeded the pre-pandemic level of 2019”. “Economy is developing at a very high pace, the process of its recovery is underway”, she said.

    GEORGIAN GAS EXCHANGE ESTABLISHED

    Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation declared about establishment of LLC Georgian Gas Exchange on October 15. LLC is a subsidiary of the Corporation and Georgian Gas Transportation Company.


    UKRAINIAN “BEES AIRLINE” TO START FLIGHTS BETWEEN ODESSA AND TBILISI

    Starting from October 22, Ukrainian low-coster Bees Airline will operate flights between Odessa and Tbilisi, reported Georgian Civil Aviation Agency. Regular flights will be operated once a week (on Fridays).


    WITH ASSISTANCE OF “PRODUCE IN GEORGIA” AGENCY, 10 GEORGIAN COMPANIES ARE REPRESENTED AT FASHION WEEK, 16 COMPANIES – AT FOOD EXHIBITION

    State Agency Produce in Georgia reported that 10 Georgian companies participate in the events within the Fashion Week (spring/summer 2022).

    As the Agency noted, collections of Georgian designers (Dalood, Keburia, Anouki, Situationist, etc.) are presented in 5 leading cities of the sector: Paris, Milan, Shanghai, London and Singapore.
