“SAKSTAT” DECREASED ESTIMATED GDP GROWTH FOR 9 MONTHS BY 0.1%
Sakstat released estimation, according to which Georgia’s average real GDP growth for 9 months of this year made up 4.8%. To remind, according to October estimation, average growth rate made up 4.9%.
IN TOTAL ENERGY CONSUMPTION FOR 2017, NATURAL GAS ACCOUNTED FOR 33.1%, ELECTRIC POWER – FOR 22.1%
In total consumption of energy resources for 2017, share of natural gas made up 33.1%, Sakstat declared. Oil-products accounted for 29.7%, while electric power – for 22.1%.
IN 2017, ELECTRICITY GENERATION DECREASED BY 0.4%, CONSUMPTION INCREASED BY 6.9%
In 2017, electricity generation in Georgia decreased by 0.4% and made up 11.53 billion kWh, Sakstat reported. This decrease is generally caused by declined water inflow, Georgian statistics service explained.
IN 2017, EXTRACTION OF OIL AND COAL DECREASED, OF NATURAL GAS – INCREASED
During 2017, Georgia extracted 32,000 t of crude oil, decreasing the volume by 17.1% year-on-year, Sakstat reported.
Coal mining also decreased (by 9.6% year-on-year), making up 268,100 t.

National Bank of Georgia (NBG) published draft of amendments to rule of protection of financial organizations’ customers.
As NBG pointed, the draft provides balancing of unfair conditions between the parties of contractual relations.

IN AJARA, AGREEMENT ON ENPARD-3 IS SIGNED
Agreement on ENPARD-3 (the 3rd stage of the EU Neighborhood Program for Agriculture and Rural Development) was signed in Ajara on December 18.
Within ENPARD-3, financing of the project worth 10 million EUR is envisaged.
