    IN TBILISI, PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION OF PARKING RULES TO BE INCREASED

    Tbilisi City Hall declared about rise of penalties for violation of parking rules in the capital. Georgian Parliament already approved package of corresponding legislative amendments, following offer of the City Hall.


    TBILISI CITY HALL DRAFTS PACKAGE OF LEGISLATIVE AMENDMENTS FOR ERADICATION OF VIOLATIONS AT CEMETERIES

    Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze declared that drafting of package of legislative amendments is underway, aiming eradication of violations, recorded on the territory of municipal and private cemeteries. The package then will be submitted for approval to the Parliament, he noted.


    TBILISI CITY HALL: UNIFIED APPEARANCE WILL BE DEVELOPED FOR PRESS BOOTHS

    Tbilisi City Hall declared that unified appearance of press booths will be developed, which will be coordinated with the relevant service. For placement of booths, intended for realization of printed press, concrete places will be allocated in the capital.

    AS OF JUNE, INDUSTRIAL PPI INCREASED BY 10.1% Y-O-Y

    Sakstat reported that Georgian industrial producer price index (PPI) increased in June by 10.1% year-on-year. Month-on-month growth of PPI made up 1.2%.


    IN H1, CAR IMPORT STILL LEADS

    Sakstat released estimation, according to which cars were still in the lead in Georgia’s import for the first half of the year.

    Import of this article amounted to $289.9 million and made up 8.2% of total import volume.


    IN H1, COPPER EXPORT STILL LEADS

    Sakstat released estimation, according to which copper ore and concentrates were still in the lead in Georgia’s export for the first half of the year.

    Export of this article amounted to $332.4 million, increasing by 8.7% year-on-year and accounting for 22.1% of total export volume.


    IN JANUARY-JUNE, GEORGIA’S EXPORT TO THE EU DECREASED BY 20.9% Y-O-Y, IMPORT FROM THE EU – BY 21%

    Sakstat released estimation, according to which in total volume of Georgia’s export for the first half of the year ($1.5 billion), EU countries accounted for 22.4% ($337.8 million). If compared with the same period of 2019, the volume has decreased by 20.9%.


    IN JANUARY-JUNE, GEORGIA’S EXPORT TO THE CIS DECREASED BY 29% Y-O-Y, IMPORT FROM THE CIS – BY 0.9%

    Sakstat released estimation, according to which in total volume of Georgia’s export for the first half of the year ($1.5 billion), CIS countries accounted for 43.2% ($650 million). If compared with the same period of 2019, the volume has decreased by 29%.


    GCCI: SALES DECREASED AT 53% OF COMPANIES, 80% OF BUSINESSES POSITIVELY ESTIMATE ECONOMIC ACTIONS OF THE GOVERNMENT AGAINST THE PANDEMIC

    Referring to conducted survey, Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) declared that 80% of Georgian businesses positively estimate economic actions, taken by Georgian government against COVID-19 pandemic.

    At the same time, the survey showed that 53% of companies face decrease of sales.

    “TBC BANK”: MARKET SHARE OF “TBC LEASING” IN 2019 MADE UP 68%

    Audited report of TBC Bank indicates that TBC Leasing, founded by the bank, occupied on the local market 68% as of December 31, 2019.

    According to the report, TBC Leasing serves about 4,000 customers, while its leasing portfolio amounts to 258.3 million lari.
