PROGRAM ON ASSISTANCE TO LAND BORDER MANAGEMENT FINISHED

Presentation of results of the 3-year program (2014-2017) on assistance to management of land border between Azerbaijan and Georgia was held in Tbilisi today, representation of the UN Development Program (UNDP) in Georgia reported.

The program worth 5 million EUR was implemented through financing of the EU and with assistance of UNDP.

ECONOMY MINISTRY: “FITCH” EXPECTS IN GEORGIA ECONOMIC GROWTH OF 4.5% IN 2017

Fitch Ratings forecasts economic growth in Georgia to make up 4.5% in 2017, Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development reported. The agency has the same forecast for next 2 years also.

First international business forum “Buy Georgian” will take place in Tbilisi on October 10, initiator and organizer of the event Kar.Ge reported.

OFFERS FOR GAS STORAGE PROJECT PRESENTED BY 14 COMPANIES

Georgia Oil and Gas Corporation declared that offers, submitted within prequalification stage of open international tender on engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning (EPIC) of underground gas storage, are publicly open. In total, offers have submitted 14 companies out of 55 ones, which passed registration.




AGRICULTURE MINISTRY: POSSIBILITY OF PRODUCTION OF SEEDS OF CEREAL CROPS IS DISCUSSED WITH FRENCH “AXEREAL”

Agriculture Ministry declared that meeting with representative of French company Axereal was held.

At the meeting, possibility of production in Georgia of seeds of cereal crops and development of bio-production in poultry farming were discussed, the Ministry said.

Georgian Stock Exchange declared that bonds of LLC Georgian Leasing Company (affiliated structure of Sakartvelos Banki (Bank of Georgia)) were delisting and withdrawn from stock-exchange trades recently. As the reason, expiration of maturity was named.

GYLA: “TBILSERVICE GROUP” SHOULD NOT GET CONSENT ON SIMPLIFIED PROCUREMENTS

Georgian Young Lawyers Association (GYLA) declared that Tbilisi municipal LLS Tbilservice Group should not get consent on conducting state procurements in simplified way.

“Existing practice, when procuring organizations conduct simplified procurements for such measures, which dates are known long beforehand, must be surely stopped”, the organization pointed.
