THE FORM OF THE LICENSE FOR MINING IS APPROVED
Georgian Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development approved a form of the mining license. Respective order of the Minister entered in force on May 25.
WITHIN AGROINSURANCE PROGRAM, LOSS OF 26.86M LARI WAS REIMBURSED IN 2014-2017
According to the government’s report on the state budget-2017 performance, 68,879 policies were issued in 2014-2017 within the agroinsurance program, while reimbursed loss made up 26.86 million lari.
In total, harvest worth 465.57 million lari was insured (area of insured crops – 59,856 ha).
STATE CO-FINANCING WITHIN “SEED THE FUTURE” PROGRAM AMOUNTED IN 2015-2017 TO 23M LARI
According to the government’s report on the state budget-2017 performance, 692 applications were approved within “Seed the Future” state program in 2015-2017.
Total area of orchards, funded within the program, makes up 4,289 ha, of which 3,592 ha is area of already planted orchards, the government reported, specifying that the state co-financing amounted to 22.19 million lari.
THE STATE CO-FINANCING OF AGRO-PROCESSING ENTERPRISES TOTALED IN 2014-2017 TO $8.8M AND 600,000 LARI
According to the government’s report on the state budget-2017 performance, 40 projects of agro-processing enterprises were approved in 2014-2017, whose rehabilitation cost totals to $24.22 million and 4.26 million lari. At that, the state co-financing makes up $8.8 million and 600,000 lari.
SPANISH “REPSOL” TO STUDY GEORGIA’S HYDROCARBON POTENTIAL
Spanish oil company Repsol will assess hydrocarbon potential of Mtkvari River basin, develop recommendations and present the report to the government, the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development reported.
The report will give an opportunity to the state to define the priority directions of exploration works in this basin, the Ministry pointed.
RESIDENTIAL COMPLEX TO BE BUILT ON 13,207 SQUARE M OF RECREATIONAL TERRITORY OF UREKI-SHEKVETILI
Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development declared that development of part of recreational territory of Ureki-Shekvetili (Ozurgeti municipality of Guria region) is planned (subjected area – 13,207 square m).
For that end, order of the Minister approves target specification for the plan of development regulation.
MINISTRY OF REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND INFRASTRUCTURE: TRASH CANS COMPLYING WITH EUROPEAN STANDARDS WILL BE DISTRIBUTED IN REGIONS
New trashcans, complying with European standards, will be distributed in regions of the country, the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure declared.
Overall, 10,000 waste containers will be distributed in municipalities.
MINISTRY OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND NATURAL RESOURCES: NO WATER POLLUTION IS FIXED IN MAY IN TBILISI SEA, TURTLE AND LISI LAKES
The Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture conducted study of water quality at Tbilisi Sea, Turtle Lake and Lisi Lake.
As the Ministry said, the study did not fix chemical and microbiological pollution of water in May.
NBG AND “VISA” PRESENTED “FINANCIAL FOOTBALL”, LOCALIZED FOR GEORGIAN MARKET
Today, National Bank of Georgia (NBG) and VISA International, within a year of financial education, presented in Tbilisi version of online game “Financial Football”, adapted for the Georgian market.
At the presentation, NBG and VISA had signed also memorandum on cooperation.
