    The Georgian National Energy Regulation Commission (GNERC) plans to consider the issue of energy tariff at the open sitting. GNERC declares that the demand of the energy companies will not be satisfied fully and supposedly, the tariff in Tbilisi will be 15 tetri per 1 kWh, while in the regions – 14 tetri.

    Prime Minister Zurab Nogaideli said after the government meeting today the electricity bills in Tbilisi would increase from 0.1198 lari to around 0.15 lari per kWh, while in regions from 0.08 lari to 0.14 lari. The authorities link the move to an increased price of the gas supplied to Georgia.

If the adulteration of Borjomi will be proven, the import of this production will be banned as well, Onishenko, the chief sanitary inspector of Russia, declares.

According to Giorgi Tavadze, the chairman of GNERC, TELASI has submitted the declaration on April 10-11.
