Amendments on budget-2007 are passed to the Parliament for consideration. The amendments envisage increasing revenues and grants by 623 million lari and budget expenditure by 641 million lari (deficit increases by 17 million).

BUDGET-2007 ADOPTED

Today Parliament has adopted the draft budget-2007, which envisages incomes and grants at the amount of 3.7 billion lari and expenses – up to 4.07 billion lari. 150 deputies supported the draft, 9 were against it.

Parliament has adopted in first reading the draft amendments to bill “On Food-Stuff Quality and Safety”, envisaging term changes in implementation of international standards for food-stuff quality.
Draft amendments, presented by the government, and the alternative version, offered by MP Zurab Tskitishvili, were summed up during the consideration on today’s session.

Azerbaijani part agreed to supply to Georgia in the winter 1 million cubic m of gas daily. Accordingly, the country will receive up to 30 million cubic m monthly, i.e. about quarter of consumption.

Government does not envisage, despite the promises, the Parliament’s remarks on a revenue service bill; therefore, the consideration was postponed several times.
