    Invest in Georgia, a business forum, will be held in New York on March 2.   17. STATE OF EMERGENCY ANNOUNCED IN KHELVACHAURI DISTRICT OF AJARA MAY BE CANCELED IN TWO DAYS

    Today, Parliament has approved the presidential decree under which the state of emergency has been announced in the Khelvachauri district of Ajara until October 1, 2006 to prevent the spread of the avian flu.

    However, the measures applied for the liquidation of the virus have proved successful and the state of emergency is not ruled out to be canceled in two days, Prime Minister Zurab Nogaideli declared by the end of the governmental meeting today.

    The National Bank of Georgia (NB) has confirmed that a credit line of 19.8 million lari has been opened to Bank of Georgia to cover Intellectbank losses. Reports on the acquisition of assets and liabilities of Intellectbank by Bank of Georgia with the NB agreement were made several days ago.
