    Prime Minister Zurab Zhvania has ordered the Economic Development Ministry to provide analysis regarding the gas distribution sphere at the government meeting today. The Prime Minister was not satisfied with the report of David Ingorokva, head of the Georgian International Gas Corporation, which runs the main gas pipelines.

  2. CAP FOR THE REGULATION FEE IN TRANSPORT, COMMUNICATIONS AND ENERGY FIELDS DEFINED

    The Sectoral Economy and Economic Policy Committee of the Parliament suggests the cap for the regulation fee should not exceed 2% of the cost of provided service or delivered goods (without VAT) in the communications, transport and energy fields.

    If confirmed, the requirements shall be met by six regulation bodies – the National Communications Commission, the National Energy Regulation Commission, the Oil and Gas Regulation Agency and three administration bodies – the civil aviation, sea transport and motor transport.

  3. GOVERNMENTAL COMMISSION BEGINS CONSIDERATION OF PROPOSALS FOR PRIVATIZATION OF SHIPPING COMPANY AND CHIATURMARGANETS

    Today was the deadline for accepting bids from potential buyers of LLC Georgian Ocean Shipping Company and JSC Chiaturmarganets, being privatized in one package with VartsikheHES and Tkibulnakhshiri (Tkibuli Coal).

    Prime Minister Zurab Zhvania told journalists today seven companies were bidding for the shipping company, while four for Chiaturmarganets.
