Georgia’s Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili and the US Representative Will Hurd considered a wide range of relations’ aspects between Georgia and the US at the meeting, which held in Tbilisi today.

As Georgian government said, the American side expressed once again firm support to sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia and process of European and Euro-Atlantic integration.

MINISTRY OF REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND INFRASTRUCTURE: FURTHER EXPANSION OF COOPERATION WITH ADB IS PLANNED IN FUTURE

Recently appointed Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure Maia Tskitishvili met today with director of resident mission of Asian Development Bank (ADB) Yesim Elhan-Kayalar.

The parties considered ongoing and planned infrastructure projects, such as development of road infrastructure and water supply, the Ministry said.




DEPUTY ECONOMY MINISTER: 84% OF BENEFICIARIES OF PROGRAMS OF EBRD SMALL BUSINESS CONSULTING GROUP INCREASED TURNOVER BY 58% ON AVERAGE

Georgia’s Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Gennady Arveladze reported that 84% of beneficiary companies of programs, which are implemented by EBRD group for small business advisory in support of the free trade agreement between Georgia and the EU (DCFTA), have increased their turnover by 58% on average.

Arveladze said that 72% of beneficiary companies raised productivity, 66% increased number of jobs, while 10% attracted additional financial resources.

LAND TRANSPORT INSURANCE PREMIUM IN 2017 INCREASED BY 24.7% Y-O-Y

State Service for Insurance Supervision reported that premium, attracted as of December 31, 2017, in sphere of land transport insurance (except railway), totaled to 74.44 million lari, increasing year-on-year by 24.7%. This kind of insurance accounted for 16.9% of total premium, attracted for the period.




AIR TRANSPORT INSURANCE PREMIUM IN 2017 INCREASED BY 90.4% Y-O-Y

State Service for Insurance Supervision reported that premium, attracted as of December 31, 2017, in sphere of air transport insurance (hull insurance), totaled to 7.1 million lari, increasing year-on-year by 90.4%. This kind of insurance accounted for 1.6% of total premium, attracted for the period.




MARITIME TRANSPORT INSURANCE PREMIUM IN 2017 INCREASED BY 5% Y-O-Y

State Service for Insurance Supervision reported that premium, attracted as of December 31, 2017, in sphere of maritime transport insurance, totaled to 454,650 lari, increasing year-on-year by 5%. This kind of insurance accounted for 0.1% of total premium, attracted for the period.




ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND AGRICULTURE MINISTER: FIRST OF ALL, “RMG GOLD” AND “RMG COPPER” HAVE TO STOP POLLUTION OF RIVERS
