ANNUAL INFLATION IN SEPTEMBER MADE UP 6.4%
Sakstat reported that annual inflation in September made up 6.4%, while monthly one (i.e. in comparison with previous month, July) – 1.7%.
At that, annual inflation without consideration of tobacco prices, made up 5.7%, while monthly one – 1.8%, Sakstat specified.
IN 2018, BUSINESS SECTOR’S TURNOVER INCREASED BY 20.7% Y-O-Y, WHILE OUTPUT – BY 9%
Sakstat reported that turnover of Georgian business sector amounted in 2018 to 86.6 billion lari, increasing year-on-year by 20.7%.
In turn, output of the business sector totaled in the reporting year to 41.6 billion lari, increasing year-on-year by 9%.
IN 2018, NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS’ TURNOVER INCREASED BY 35.5% Y-O-Y, WHILE OUTPUT – BY 10.8%
Sakstat reported that turnover of Georgian non-profit organizations amounted in 2018 to 137.6 million lari, increasing year-on-year by 35.5%.
In total turnover, biggest share had education (36.9%), healthcare and social service (23.7%), art, entertainment and leisure (18.3%).
“SAKSTAT” PLANS INTRODUCTION OF NEW INDICATOR
Sakstat announced plans on introduction of Residential Property Price Index (RPPI). Target users of this index will be National Bank of Georgia and private developers, Georgian statistics service noted.
IN JANUARY-SEPTEMBER, NUMBER OF VISITS OF INTERNATIONAL TRAVELERS INCREASED BY 6.6% Y-O-Y
In January-September, Georgia hosted 7.24 million visits of international travelers, Georgian the National Tourism Administration reported. If compared with the same period of 2018, the number has increased by 6.6%, the Administration noted.

“We have already prepared for business the project “100 Objects for Business”, which presentation will take place in near future”, Georgia’s Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Natia Turnava declared.
As the Minister explained, “It will be real estate, prepared for alienation, brought in good order, attractive and well packed, which will be properly registered, while all possible risks and problems will be removed”.

Georgian Manganese (mining-and-processing enterprise) “fulfilled everything and even more, than we expected”, Georgia’s Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Nikoloz Vashakidze declared, who acquainted today with activities in Chiatura, which the company conducted within undertaken obligations.
Georgian Manganese undertook obligations in May, when the government brokered mediation process between the company and its employees, the Ministry pointed.

Georgian garment company Imeri became official supplier of British Marks&Spencer (M&S), the Agency Produce in Georgia reported. The company is beneficiary of the Agency.
