GEORGIAN PREMIER: BETWEEN AZERBAIJAN AND GEORGIA THERE ARE NO PROBLEMS, WHICH CANNOT BE SOLVED FRIENDLY
Today, Georgia’s Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia departed to Azerbaijan with his first-ever official visit. At the meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Gakharia declared that “With this visit we once again prove to both our friends and our enemies that between Azerbaijan and Georgia there are no problems, which cannot be solved fraternally, friendly”.

Institute for Development of Freedom of Information (IDFI) indicated that current Georgian legislation lacks regulations and rules of disposal of reserve funds of local self-government units. As IDFI declared, that creates risks of unreasonable use and ungrounded spending of budgetary funds.
AGRARIAN COMMITTEE DISCONTENT WITH CUT OF FINANCING FOR A NUMBER OF PROGRAMS IN 2020
Georgian Parliament reported about consideration of the draft state budget-2020, which held in Agrarian Committee on October 8. The Committee did not voted the document, explaining this with cut of financing for a number of programs.
IN 9 MONTHS, GEORGIAN WINE EXPORT INCREASED IN NATURAL EXPRESSION BY 10%, IN MONETARY EXPRESSION – BY 16%
Georgian National Wine Agency reported that in January-September, 65.2 million bottles of wine (0.75 l) were exported from Georgia to about 50 countries. The volume by 10% exceeds showing of the same period of 2018, the Agency noted.
RTVELI IN RACHA REGION STARTS, IN KAKHETI – COMES TO THE END
Georgian Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture reported about start of rtveli (vintage) in Racha region. As the Ministry said, this year’s harvest of Aleksandrouli and Mujuretuli grape varieties in Racha is expected to reach 1,500 t.

THAI AIRLINE TO LAUNCH FLIGHTS BETWEEN BANGKOK AND TBILISI
Since December 28, Thai airline Thai Air Asia X will start charter flights between Bangkok and Tbilisi, TAV Georgia (operator of Tbilisi and Batumi airports) reported. The company hosted meeting with representatives of the airline at Tbilisi airport on October 8.
