The wide range of questions, concerning Russian-Georgian relations, including security, were discussed during the meeting of the RF government's Chairman Sergei Stepashin and the Georgian State Minister Vazha Lortkipanidze held in Moscow yesterday. The talks touched upon the problems concerning the settlement of the conflicts in Caucasus as well as providing conditions for keeping viability of the Russian military bases on the Georgian territory.

THE INTERIOR MINISTRY OF GEORGIA REFUTED THE RUMORS ON ARMED CLASHES IN AJARA
The press-service of Interior Ministry of Georgia made an official statement, flatly denying the information delivered by some sources of mass media that allegedly armed clashes took place between some terrorist groups and special troops in Ajara.According to the official data of the Autonomic Republic's Interior Ministry, on August 2 the employees of Interior and Defense Ministries of Ajara detained the suspect, citizen of Batumi, Avtandil Lomadze in village Dagva in Cobuleti region. After offering an armed resistance the suspect was first wounded then captured.

Turkish police detained Boris Golubchenkov, citizen of Tbilisi, 61 years old. Golubenchikov is wanted at the Georgian Ministry of Security and Interpol national bureau by the red circular of 1996.
