    DEPUTY FINANCE MINISTER: NO PROBLEMS EXIST IN THE BUDGET RECEIPTS’ FULFILLMENT

    “There are no problems in the budget performance in terms of receipts”, Deputy Finance Minister Giorgi Kakauridze assures.

    “In respect of 6-month plan, not only tax revenues will be over-fulfilled, but also planned general revenues of the budget, as well as revenues, planned under article of non-financial assets’ reduction (privatization)”, Kakauridze declares.


    LONG-TERM PLAN OF SOCIAL PROTECTION DEVELOPMENT ENVISAGES OBLIGATORY INSURANCE OF EMPLOYEES

    Natia Partskhaladze, expert of the UN Development Program (UNDP), said that obligatory insurance of employees have to be introduced in those Georgian organizations and institutions, which take part in state tenders or have budgetary financing.

    Other private companies are recommended to introduce employees’ life and health insurance too.


    REPLACEMENT OF MOTOR TRANSPORT, COMPUTERS AND ELECTRIC EQUIPMENT THROUGH STATE PROCUREMENTS IS PLANNED TO CONDUCT ONLY BY MEANS OF TENDERS

    According to legislative initiative of majority MP Zakaria Kutsnashvili, replacement of vehicles, computers and electric equipment through state procurements will not be conducted in simplified way anymore.

    The matter concerns replacement of the mentioned assets by ones, having improved or similar parameters, which acquisition will be conducted by means of tender procedures only.


    BY LEGISLATIVE INITIATIVE, UNAUTHORIZED CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY TO BE TURNED INTO LEGAL FRAMEWORK

    Legislative initiative, proposed by MPs Grigol Liluashvili and Ivliane Tsulaia, excuses from penalties those entities, which have built multiroom residential houses without permission or with violation of conditions of permission.

    Besides, citizens will be given opportunity to turn into legal framework their real estate in its current state.


    MINISTRY OF FINANCE: AFTER ENACTMENT OF TAX RELIEF, CONSTRUCTION OF 25 OBJECTS WAS RESUMED

    Finance Ministry declared that after enactment of tax relief, construction of 25 objects was resumed for now. Completion of these projects with total investments exceeding $65 million is planned until end of the current year, the Ministry said.


    CREDIT AGREEMENT WITH KFW, SIGNED WITHIN PROGRAM OF ELECTRIC POWER GRID EXPANSION, IS SUBMITTED TO THE PARLIAMENT FOR RATIFICATION

    Credit agreement with German reconstruction bank (KfW), signed within the program of electric power grid expansion, is submitted to the Parliament for ratification. The agreement envisages allocation of 125 million EUR to Georgia.


    “PRODUCE IN GEORGIA” AGENCY AND USAID-FUNDED PROJECT “GROWTH IN GEORGIA” TO COOPERATE

    Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development reported about memorandum of understanding, signed between “Produce in Georgia” Agency of the Ministry and the USAID-funded project “Zrda Activity in Georgia” (Growth in Georgia).

    The memorandum provides cooperation and coordinated activity for development of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in regions of Georgia, the Ministry said.


    NBG CANCELLED REGISTRATION OF 28 CURRENCY EXCHANGE OFFICES IN TBILISI

    National Bank of Georgia (NBG) declared about cancellation of registration for 28 currency exchange offices in Tbilisi.

    “The mentioned offices had conducted their activity with such significant violations as undue identification/verification procedures, lack of system of internal control, etc.”, NBG said.

    “TELASI” NOT TO PAY DIVIDENDS FROM PROFIT OF 2016

    JSC TELASI (Tbilisi energy distributor) declared that meeting of shareholders, which took place recently, decided not to pay dividends from profit of 2016. The company reported profit of 38.84 million lari for 2016.


    LAUNCH OF HYDROELECTRIC STATIONS “MESTIACHALA-1” AND “MESTIACHALA-2” IS PLANNED IN DECEMBER 2018

    Official ceremony of start of construction of hydroelectric stations Mestiachala-1 and Mestiachala-2 was held in Mestia (Zemo Svaneti region) today.

    These hydroelectric stations are planned to put in operation in December 2018, adding thus 175 million kWh to Georgia’s energy system.
