    FOR STUDENTS, HAVING PERMIT FOR WORK AND STUDY IN GERMANY, ONE MORE PREFERENTIAL FLIGHT WILL BE APPOINTED ON AUGUST 11

    At the government meeting today, Georgia’s Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia charged relevant departments to organize on August 11 one more preferential flight for students, having permit for work and study in Germany. Ticket cost will not exceed 199 EUR, he said.


    ECONOMY MINISTER: WE WILL ASSIST 84 EMPLOYEES, DISMISSED BY “FRONTERA”, WHO LEFT WITHOUT SALARY WITH ONE-TIME ALLOWANCE

    “We decided to assist 84 persons, dismissed by Frontera, concerning whom the company owes wages for approximately 17 months”, Georgia’s Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Natia Turnava declared at the news briefing after the government meeting today.

    As the Minister explained, state-owned Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation will issue one-time allowance of 1,200 lari to each of these persons.


    ECONOMY MINISTER: BETWEEN ATHENS AND TBILISI, AT LEAST, ONE FLIGHT WILL BE MADE UNTIL END OF AUGUST

    “Until end of August, at least, one flight in the direction of Greece will be made”, Georgia’s Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Natia Turnava reported at the news briefing after the government meeting today.

    As the Minister noted, negotiations with Aegean Airline are completed, which lasted for quite long time.

    PRIME MINISTER: SELF-EMPLOYED, WHO DO NOT MEET REQUIREMENTS FOR ALLOWANCE, WILL RECEIVE ASSISTANCE ALL THE SAME

    Georgia’s Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia declared that those self-employed persons, who did not meet requirements for necessary documentation, will receive one-time allowance of 300 lari all the same.

    The Premier stated this at the government meeting today and noted that out of 250,000 applicants, requested the mentioned allowance within the anti-crisis plan, 170,000 have presented necessary confirmation of inflicted damage.


    PRIME MINISTER: SUPPORTING PROGRAM ON COMMUNAL BILLS WILL CONTINUE WITHIN 4 WINTER MONTHS

    Georgia’s Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia declared that the government’s program on support in communal bills will continue within 4 months (November, December, January, February).

    The Premier said this at the government meeting today and noted that the government made this decision with aim to mitigate for families decline of income or loss of jobs (because of COVID-19).


    PRIME MINISTER: EACH CHILD THROUGH 17 YEARS WILL RECEIVE ALLOWANCE OF 200 LARI

    Georgia’s Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia declared that within the next, third stage of the government’s anti-crisis plan, one-time allowance of 200 lari will be issued per each child of 17 years and below.

    The Premier said this at the government meeting today and noted that there are about 880,000 children in the country.


    PRIME MINISTER: SOCIALLY UNPROTECTED STUDENTS WILL RECEIVE FULL PAYMENT OF ONE-SEMESTER TUITION

    Georgia’s Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia declared that the state will pay full tuition for one semester of 2020-2021 academic years for students from socially unprotected families.

    Besides, the state will compensate tuition for 2020-2021 with 2,250 lari for those socially unprotected students, whose status of student was suspended because of non-payment, the Premier pointed at the government meeting today.


    ECONOMY MINISTER: TOTAL BUDGET OF THE NEXT STAGE OF ANTI-CRISIS PLAN EXCEEDS 400M LARI

    “Total budgetary package of a new, 3rd stage of anti-crisis plan exceeds 400 million lari”, Georgia’s Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Natia Turnava reported at the news briefing after the government meeting today.

    Out of total sum, 130 million lari were accumulated in StopCoV fund, including personal donation of 100 million lari from Bidzina Ivanishvili (billionaire leader of ruling Georgian Dream) and donations of various Georgian businessmen, the Minister noted.

    IN 2019, “ALDAGI” PAID DIVIDENDS OF 9.3M LARI

    By decision, made in last June, Aldagi insurance company paid dividends of 8 million lari from profit for 2018. According to audited report of the company for 2019, dividends per share made up 4.23 lari.


    LOSS OF “GPIH” FROM SALE OF “CURATIO” MADE UP 7.3M LARI

    GPIH insurance company reported that its loss from sale of medical concern Curatio made 7.3 million lari.

    As audited report of GPIH for 2019 indicates, the company completely sold in 2019 its stakes in the subsidiary for 3.07 million lari.


    IN 2019, PROFIT OF “TBC INSURANCE” INCREASED BY 6.6%

    TBC Insurance reported profit of 8.2 million lari for 2019. According to audited report of this insurance company, volume of profit has increased by 6.6% year-on-year.
