“WASTE DETECTOR”: OUT OF CRIMES, REGISTERED IN 2017-2021, 38% WERE SOLVED

Waste Detector (a media project of non-governmental organization Governance Monitoring Center (GMC)) reported that in 2017-2021 (includes data for January-May this year), 241,106 crimes were registered in Georgia. Of them, 38% (92,689 cases) were solved.

THIS YEAR, BUDGET’S SPENDING ON COVID-19 MANAGEMENT INCREASED 2 TIMES

Georgian Ministry of IDPs from Occupied Territories, Labor, Healthcare and Social Protection, announced that this year budget spending on management of COVID-19 makes up 522.39 million lari. In 2020, the volume made up 257.57 million lari (respectively, spending has increased 2 times this year).




IN 6 MONTHS, GEORGIA’S WINE EXPORT IN NATURAL EXPRESSION INCREASED BY 13% Y-O-Y, IN MONETARY EXPRESSION – BY 7%

Georgian National Wine Agency reported that in 6 months of this year, up to 46.4 million bottles of wine (0.75 liters) were exported to 56 countries. If compared with the same period of 2020, the volume has increased by 13%.




IN 6 MONTHS, REVENUES FROM BRANDY EXPORT INCREASED BY 11% Y-O-Y, FROM CHACHA EXPORT – BY 64%

Georgian National Wine Agency reported that in 6 months of this year, up to 16 million bottles of brandy (0.5 liters) were exported. If compared with the same period of 2020, the volume has increased by 21%.




CADASTRAL STATEMENTS FOR VINEYARDS ISSUED TO 21,000 FARMERS

Since 2019, cadastral statements for vineyards have been issued to 21,000 farmers, reported Georgian National Wine Agency. Out of total, 6,000 statements were issued this year, the Agency noted.

TBILISI CITY HALL TO RE-ANNOUNCE TENDER FOR MULTIFUNCTIONAL CENTER CONSTRUCTION IN SAMGORI DISTRICT

Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze declared that contract with company that builds a multifunctional center in Samgori district will be terminated unilaterally due to created problems. In order to complete the works, the City Hall will announce the tender afresh.
