TELEPHONE CONVERSATION OF SHEVARDNADZE WITH THE PRESIDENTS OF UKRAINE AND ARMENIA
According to press services of Mr. Shevardnadze, presidents of three countries talked about preparation to CIS Summit in Moscow and BSEC meeting in Kiev. The presidents expressed satisfaction with current relations among the countries, which are in turn based on Agreement on Cooperation signed 5 years ago.

ABKHAZIAN GOVERNMENT ARRESTED 7 RESIDENTS OF GALI
Sarke received the information that Abkhazian government pulled 50-armed police officers into Gali Rayon that arrested 7 young people and transported them to unknown location. The reasons for detaining are unknown.

SUKHUMI RESIDENTS REQUEST HOUSES IN RETURN OF THE SHELTERS BUILT IN THE CENTER OF THE CITY
Sukhumi TV broadcasted the information on decision of the city administration on clearing the center of the city from plain shelter tents. The residents living in the tents protested the decision and requested apartment in the concrete building in the same center of the city.
PRESIDENTIAL FUND PROVIDED 20,000 LARI FOR VICTIMS OF APRIL 5 EVENT
According to press secretary to the President Mr. Abashidze, presidential fund allocated 20,000 Lari for medical treatment of and support to people injured at April 5 event.
JABA IOSELIANI WILL BE TRANSFERRED FROM 5TH TO 1ST ISOLATION WARD
Head of the Subcommittee on Penitentiary System Reform Ms. Elene Tevdoradze stated that Jaba Ioseliani would be transported from fifth isolation ward to the first one, where the conditions are better. This decision was due to the old age (71) and bad health of Mkhedrioni ex-leader, which just recently suffered a heart attack.
