National Bank of Georgia (NBG) reported that deposits, placed by legal entities in Georgian commercial banks in national currency, totaled as of October 1 to 12.35 billion lari. If compared with the same period of 2021, the volume has increased by 33.2%.

National Bank of Georgia (NBG) reported that deposits, placed by individuals in Georgian commercial banks in national currency, totaled as of October 1 to 5.9 billion lari. If compared with the same period of 2021, the volume has increased by 19.8%.

National Bank of Georgia (NBG) reported that deposits, placed by individuals in Georgian commercial banks in foreign currency, totaled as of October 1 to equivalent of 16.42 billion lari. If compared with the same period of 2021, the volume has increased by 12.1%.
AS OF OCTOBER 1, 82.85% OF FOREIGN CURRENCY DEPOSITS IN GEORGIAN BANKS WERE PLACED IN US DOLLARS
National Bank of Georgia (NBG) reported that in total deposits, placed as of October 1 in Georgian banks in foreign currency (equivalent of 25.2 billion lari), 82.85%, or equivalent of 20.89 billion lari, are denominated in US dollars. As of October 1, 2021, this share made up 82.86%.
GEORGIA JOINED MCAA FOR AUTOMATIC EXCHANGE OF FINANCIAL INFORMATION
Georgian Finance Ministry declared that the country has joined the Multilateral Competent Authority Agreement (MCAA) on automatic exchange of financial information under the OECD’s Model Rules for Reporting by Platform Operators. The Agreement is signed by 118 jurisdictions.
GEORGIA AND THE NETHERLANDS AGREED ON MUTUAL RECOGNITION OF SEAFARERS’ CERTIFICATES
Georgia and the Netherlands agreed on mutual recognition of seafarers’ certificates, reported Georgian Maritime Transport Agency.
Now, Georgian sailors can find jobs already on ships under 73 flags, the Agency noted.
ADB APPROVED LOAN OF $100M FOR GEORGIA
On November 10, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) approved a policy-based loan of $100 million for Georgia. The funds are intended for promotion of fiscal management, reforms of capital market and pension system of the country.
