    EDUCATIONAL PROCESS IN 8 LARGEST CITIES TO BE CARRIED OUT REMOTELY UNTIL OCTOBER 1

    Interdepartmental coordination council, created by Georgian government for fight against COVID-19 spread, decided today to add Tbilisi, Kutaisi, Rustavi, Gori, Zugdidi and Poti to those cities, where educational process will begin on September 15 in a remote mode. Earlier, similar decision was made on Batumi and Kobuleti.


    RULING PARTY PRESENTED ITS PROPORTIONAL ELECTORAL LIST

    On September 10, Georgian Dream presented proportional electoral list, with which the ruling party will go to parliamentary elections on October 31. The first five comprises of Giorgi Gakharia (current prime minister), Archil Talakvadze (speaker of the Parliament), Irakli Kobakhidze (executive secretary of the party, ex-speaker), Thea Tsulukiani (current justice minister), Mamuka Mdinaradze (leader of parliamentary majority).

    IN JANUARY-JUNE, PLAN OF THE STATE BUDGET’S REVENUES IS FULFILLED BY 101.6%

    Georgian government reported that revenues of the state budget amounted in January-June to 5.09 billion lari, making up 101.6% of planned indicator.

    Out of total, tax revenues amounted to 4.59 billion, i.e. 100.4% of the plan.


    IN 6 MONTHS, FACTUAL ALLOCATIONS OF THE STATE BUDGET’S MADE UP 92.9% OF SEMIANNUAL PLAN AND 43.3% OF ANNUAL ONE

    Georgian government reported that factual allocations of the state budget totaled in January-June to 7.24 billion lari. As the government noted, that made up 92.9% of semiannual plan and 43.3% of annual one.


    IN 6 MONTHS, FACTUAL ALLOCATIONS OF THE GOVERNMENT’S RESERVE FUND MADE UP 9.13M LARI

    Georgian government reported that signed allocations of the government’s reserve fund totaled in January-June as 12.13 million lari. As the government noted, factual allocations made up 9.13 million lari (or 75.3% of signed volume).


    AS OF JUNE 30, NUMBER OF REGISTERED PARTICIPANTS OF ACCUMULATIVE PENSION SCHEME EXCEEDED 1M

    Georgia government reported that as of June 30, over 1 million participants of the accumulative pension scheme are registered. Out of total, private organizations accounted for 798,800 participants, while public organizations – for 231,700 ones.


    MINISTRY OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND AGRICULTURE: RTVELI IN KAKHETI ENTERED ACTIVE PHASE

    Georgian Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture pointed that daily grapes processing of 3,000 t means that rtveli (vintage) in Kakheti region (main wine-producing region of the country) has entered its active phase.

    According to the Ministry, 16,000 t of grapes were processed in Kakheti as of September 10, including 9,500 t of Rkatsiteli (white variety), 3,000 t of Saperavi (red variety), 1,000 Kakhuri Mtsvane (white variety).


    IN GAS SUPPLIES OF “SOCAR GEORGIA GAS”, NON-HOUSEHOLD CONSUMPTION DECREASED, HOUSEHOLD ONE – INCREASED

    SOCAR Georgia Gas (regional gas distributor of) reported that consumption of gas, supplied during 6 months of this year by the company, totaled to 1.16 billion cubic m. If compared with the same period of 2019, the volume has decreased by 5.4%.

    AS OF JUNE 30, 5 COMPANIES ACCOUNTED FOR 96% OF TOTAL LIFE INSURANCE PREMIUM

    Georgian State Service for Insurance Supervision reported that in total premium, attracted by Georgian insurance companies from life insurance for 6 months of this year (26.3 million lari), combined share of 5 companies made 96% or 25.3 million lari.

    TBC Insurance is on the first position with share of 48%, or 12.56 million lari (year-on-year growth – 16.5%).


    AS OF JUNE 30, 5 COMPANIES ACCOUNTED FOR 90% OF TOTAL LIABILITY INSURANCE PREMIUM

    Georgian State Service for Insurance Supervision reported that in total premium, attracted by Georgian insurance companies from liability insurance for 6 months of this year (13.6 million lari), combined share of 5 companies made up 90%, or 12.2 million lari.

    Aldagi is on the first position again with share of 53% (7.2 million lari, year-on-year reduction – 13%).
