COVID-19-RELATED REGULATIONS CHANGED CONCERNING CITIZENS, LIVING ON OCCUPIED TERRITORIES
From April 19, citizens living on the occupied territories of Georgia, when crossing into territory under control of Tbilisi, will be subjected to antigen test instead of 5-day quarantine, imposed for prevention of COVID-19 spread, reported Georgian government. The government said also that residents of the occupied territories will be able to participate in the vaccination program, in accordance with the age groups, defined by national vaccination plan of Georgia.

AS OF MARCH 31, NBG'S NET FOREIGN ASSETS INCREASED BY 24% Y-O-Y
National Bank of Georgia (NBG) reported that its net foreign assets (balance) amounted as of March 31 to 12.04 billion lari. The volume has increased by 10.3% quarter-on-quarter and by 24% year-on-year.
AS OF MARCH 31, TREASURY SECURITIES HELD BY COMMERCIAL BANKS INCREASED IN VOLUME BY 23.9% Y-O-Y
National Bank of Georgia (NBG) reported that as of March 31, commercial banks of the country held 66.3%, or 3.67 billion lari, of total volume of treasury securities, issued in national currency (nominal value – 5.5 billion lari). If compared with the same period of 2020, the volume has increased by 23.9%.
GEORGIA RATIFIED AIR COMMUNICATION AGREEMENT WITH KOREA
On April 13, Georgian Parliament (with 79 votes “pro”) adopted a draft resolution on ratification of air communication agreement between the governments of Georgia and Korea. The agreement, in particular, envisages conclusion of various commercial agreements between the designated air carriers.
GEORGIA AND TAJIKISTAN SIGNED AGREEMENT ON INTERNATIONAL ROAD COMMUNICATION
Georgia and Tajikistan signed an agreement on international road communication in Tbilisi today, reported Georgian Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development. The document was signed within the visit of Tajik Minister of Transport Azim Ibrohim to Georgia.
CONSTRUCTION OF MOTOR ROAD, CONNECTING ZEMO IMERETI WITH RACHA, TO BE COMPLETED AT THE END OF 2021
Construction of motor road, connecting Zemo Imereti (northern part of Imereti region) and Racha region, is planned to complete by the end of 2021, reported Georgian Roads Department. The project worth 111.17 million lari is financed from the state budget.

15 OUT OF GEORGIA’S 18 INSURANCE COMPANIES FINISHED 2020 WITH PROFIT
Georgian State Service for Insurance Supervision reported that 15 out of 18 insuring companies, operating in the country, finished 2020 with profit. Total net profit of Georgian insurers amounted to 47.6 million lari.
IN 2020, LOSS OF GEORGIAN STOCK EXCHANGE DECREASED 4.6 TIMES
Georgian Stock Exchange reported loss of 17,714 lari for 2020. If compared with 2019, the volume has decreased 4.6 times.
