    MINISTRY OF REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND INFRASTRUCTURE: SINCE 2015, ABOUT 183M LARI IS ALLOCATED WITHIN SOCIAL PROGRAMS FOR MOUNTAIN REGIONS

    About 183 million lari were allocated within social programs for mountain regions since 2015 (when the law “On Development of Mountain Regions” was adopted), Georgian Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure reported.

    Besides, 86 million lari were allocated during the reporting period to Mountain Settlements Development Fund, including 20 million lari in the current year.


    PRIME MINISTER: PENSIONERS, DISABLED PERSONS AND OTHER GROUPS CATEGORIES OF CITIZENS WILL BE ABLE TO BUY 35 NAMES OF MEDICINES FOR 1 LARI ALONG WITH SOCIALLY UNPROTECTED PERSONS

    We are amending the program of medicines for treatment of chronic diseases, Georgia’s Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze declared at the news briefing today.

    From now on, existing differentiation is removed and pensioners, disabled persons and other groups will be able to buy medicines for 1 lari along with socially unprotected persons, the Premier explained.


    GEORGIAN NATIONAL TOURISM ADMINISTRATION: IN 2019, MARKETING EXPENSES ON RUSSIAN TOURISM MARKET ARE ZERO

    In 2019, Georgian National Tourism Administration spent no tetri on Russian tourism market, head of administration Mariam Kvrivishvili declared.

    In 2013-2019, the Administration spent in total 70.71 million lari on international markets, of which expenses on the Russian market made up 13 million lari, i.e. 18.6% of total expenses, Kvrivishvili told journalists.


    POSSIBILITY OF IMPROVEMENT OF ACCESS TO GREEN FINANCE FOR SMALL AND MEDIUM BUSINESS IS DISCUSSED

    Georgian Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development reported about the meeting, at which the possibility of improvement of small and medium business’ access to so-called “green” finance was discussed today. The working meeting was held within the EU program EU4Environment.


    IN Q2, REMITTANCES TO GEORGIA INCREASED BY 9.3% Y-O-Y

    National Bank of Georgia reported that remittances to Georgia amounted in the 2nd quarter to $426.54 million. The volume has increased by 12.4% quarter-on-quarter and by 9.3% year-on-year.


    IN Q2, REMITTANCES FROM GEORGIA INCREASED BY 1.7% Y-O-Y

    National Bank of Georgia reported that remittances from Georgia amounted in the 2nd quarter to $51.05 million. The volume has increased by 10.2% quarter-on-quarter and by 1.7% year-on-year.

    IN Q2, “GOLDEN CROWN” WAS STILL IN THE LEAD IN TERMS OF REMITTANCES

    National Bank of Georgia reported that Golden Crown accounted for 19.7% of total remittance to Georgia for the 2nd quarter. By means of this system, $84.08 million were transferred to Georgia, increasing by 14.2% quarter-on-quarter and by 4.6% year-on-year.


    IN Q1, MEDICAL INSURANCE ACCOUNTED FOR 76.8% OF PORTFOLIO OF “GLOBAL BENEFITS GROUP”

    Georgian State Service for Insurance Supervision reported that in total premium, attracted by Global Benefits Group as of March 31, medical (health) insurance accounted for 76.8%. In this segment, the company attracted 6.1 million lari, increasing the volume by 97% year-on-year.


    IN Q1, MEDICAL INSURANCE ACCOUNTED FOR 71.7% OF PORTFOLIO OF “PSP INSURANCE”

    Georgian State Service for Insurance Supervision reported that in total premium, attracted by PSP Insurance as of March 31, medical (health) insurance accounted for 71.7%. In this segment, the company attracted 4.77 million lari, decreasing the volume by 33.1% year-on-year.


    IN Q1, PROPERTY INSURANCE ACCOUNTED FOR 28.6% OF PORTFOLIO OF “UNISON”

    Georgian State Service for Insurance Supervision reported that in total premium, attracted by Unison as of March 31, insurance accounted for 28.6%. In this segment, the company attracted 1.48 million lari, increasing the volume by 8.2% year-on-year.
