IN Q2, AVERAGE MONTHLY SALARY IN GEORGIA INCREASED BY 15.5% Y-O-Y
Sakstat reported that in the 2nd quarter, average nominal monthly salary in Georgia made up 1,328 lari. If compared with the same period of 2020, the volume has increased by 15.5%, or by 177.9 lari.
BUSINESS ASSOCIATION: BUSINESS HAS POSITIVE ESTIMATION OF CURRENT SITUATION AND EXPECTATIONS FOR THE NEXT 6 MONTHS
Business Association of Georgia (BAG) reported that its members have positive estimation of their situation in the 3rd quarter and expectations for the next 6 months. The survey was conducted on August 2-16.
BUSINESS ASSOCIATION: MOST POSITIVE EXPECTATIONS IN CONNECTION WITH EMPLOYMENT ARE IN CONSTRUCTION SECTOR
Business Association of Georgia (BAG) reported that 25.5% of companies, interviewed within BAG Index survey (August 2-16), said that they increased number of employees in the 3rd quarter, if compared with the 2nd quarter. In turn, 4.7% of companies said that number of employees has decreased, while 71.7% – that the number has not changed.
REHABILITATION OF 11.4-KM LOCAL ROAD IN DUSHETI MUNICIPALITY TO BE COMPLETED BY END OF THE YEAR
Georgian Roads Department reported that rehabilitation of local road, leading to the village of Mikeliani, is underway in Dusheti municipality (Mtskheta-Mtianeti region). Works on the road section of 11.4 km should be completed by the end of this year.

IN H1, 5 COMPANIES ACCOUNTED FOR 96.2% OF LIFE INSURANCE PREMIUM
Georgian State Service for Insurance Supervision reported that in total premium, attracted by Georgian insurers in the first half of this year (31.3 million lari), 5 companies accounted for 96.2%, or 30.1 million lari. TBC Insurance is still on the first position with a share of 49%.
IN H1, 5 COMPANIES ACCOUNTED FOR 82.7% OF PROPERTY INSURANCE PREMIUM
Georgian State Service for Insurance Supervision reported that in total premium, attracted by Georgian insurers in property insurance in the first half of this year (74.1 million lari), 5 companies accounted for 82.7%, or 61.3 million lari. Aldagi is still on the first position.

“SAKSTAT” RESEARCH: 28.8% OF RESPONDENTS ARE READY TO PASS VACCINATION AGAINST COVID-19
Research, conducted by Sakstat in February-March, shows that 28.8% of respondents are ready to pass vaccination against COVID-19. That readiness in urban settlements was expressed by 30.1% of respondents, while in rural areas – by 27%.
IN H1, NEGATIVE RATE OF NATURAL GROWTH WAS RECORDED IN GEORGIA
Sakstat reported that 21,839 children were born in Georgia in January-June. In turn, 25,821 people died during the same period.
