    FIRST DEPUTY PREMIER: CHINA WILL ENCOURAGE PRIVATE SECTOR AND STATE COMPANIES TO INVEST IN GEORGIA

    Georgia’s First Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Dimitri Kumsishvili declared that “China state will encourage Chinese private sector and state companies in order they to make investments in Georgia and increase production capacities”.

    Kumsishvili, who was with visit in China, declared the mentioned after meeting with China’s Deputy Prime Minister Wang Yang, which held in the city of Hefei.


    DEPUTY MINISTER OF ECONOMY: WE AGREED WITH CHINESE PARTY TO INCREASE TRADE TURNOVER TO $1B

    Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Gennady Arveladze, who was with visit in China (city of Hefei), declared about agreement reached with the Chinese party that “trade turnover between our countries will increase to $1 billion”. “In this term, essential role has been assigned to the Free Trade Agreement”, he said.


    GRIGOL NEMSADZE IS APPOINTED THE GOVERNOR OF KVEMO KARTLI

    The government declared that Grigol Nemsadze is appointed the plenipotentiary (governor) in Kvemo Kartli region. Prime Minister has already signed the respective order.

    THE BUDGET REVENUES PLAN FOR Q1 IS EXCEEDED BY 8.6%

    Treasury Service of the Finance Ministry reported that revenues of the state budget amounted in the 1st quarter to 2.43 billion lari, making up 108.6% of the quarterly plan.

    Tax revenues amounted to 2.1 billion lari (108.6% of the plan).


    THE BUDGET EXPENDITURE PLAN FOR Q1 FULFILLED BY 90.3%

    Treasury Service of the Finance Ministry reported that expenditure of the state budget amounted in the 1st quarter to 2.07 billion lari. This volume makes up 90.3% of the quarterly plan (2.29 billion lari).


    RECEIPTS FROM “REDUCTION OF NON-FINANCIAL ASSETS” EXCEEDED IN Q1 THE FORECAST BY 109.3%

    Treasury Service of the Finance Ministry reported that receipts of the state budget, mobilized in January-March under article “Reduction of Non-Financial Assets”, amounted to 36.63 million lari. This volume makes up 209.3% of the quarterly plan (17.5 million lari), the Service pointed.


    VICE-PRESIDENT OF AUSTRIAN ECONOMIC CHAMBER: GEORGIA HAS BIG POTENTIAL OF ELECTRICAL POWER ENTERPRISES’ DEVELOPMENT

    Richard Schenz, vice-president of Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, declared that Georgia has big potential of development of new electrical power enterprises.

    “Austria sees and appreciates this potential.


    TECHNOLOGY PARK HOSTED INFORMATION DAY OF ENTERPRISE EUROPE NETWORK

    Today, Technology Park (Tbilisi’s suburb Okrokana) hosted information day of Enterprise Europe Network, which was attended by over 80 representatives of small and medium business and startup companies, Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development reported.

    The event was organized by Georgia’s Agency of Innovations and Technologies and Agency Produce in Georgia and Enterprise Europe Network (unites over 600 partner organizations).


    ECONOMY MINISTRY’S ALLOCATIONS FOR AGENCY OF ANAKLIA DEEP-WATER PORT’S DEVELOPMENT ARE ALLOCATED

    The government authorized the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development to increase allocations under article “Remuneration” by 140,000 lari.

    According to respective order, this extra sum is allocated in connection with creation of legal entity of public law Agency of Anaklia Deep-water Port’s Development.


    REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND INFRASTRUCTURE MINISTRY: 2-KM TUNNEL WILL BE BUILT IN DARIAL GORGE

    Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure declared that Roads Department will start in near future construction of a tunnel with length of 2 km on a crossing place of Darial and Devdorak gorges (section of Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Lars highway of international importance).

    The project, which cost makes up 47.18 million lari, is financed from the state budget, the Ministry pointed.

    THE GOVERNMENT: “OCEAN CAPITAL” PLANS TO RAISE INVESTMENT IN GEORGIA

    The government declared that company Ocean Capital plans “to raise investments in Georgia both in real estate and in spheres of energy and transport”.

    As administration of the government noted, the company has invested already $15 million in Georgia’s real estate.


    “RMG GOLD” TO GET AREA IN DMANISI IN LEASE

    The government decided to give state-owned real estate in rent to LLC RMG Gold.

    According to respective order, the matter concerns non-agricultural land plots in Dmanisi municipality (Kvemo Kartli region), having total area of 64,687 square m.


    “KHELEDULA ENERGY” TO GET LAND PLOTS IN LENTEKHI IN LEASE

    The government decided to give state-owned real estate in rent (with development right) to LLC Kheledula Energy.

    According to respective order, the matter concerns non-agricultural land plots in Lentekhi municipality (Racha – Lechkhumi – Kvemo Svaneti region), having total area of 36,921 square m.


    ECONOMY MINISTRY: COLD STORAGE TO BE BUILT IN GARDABANI MUNICIPALITY

    Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development declared that LLC Distributor Company of Georgian Farmers will build cold storage facility in Gamarjveba village (Gardabani district of Kvemo Kartli region) within “Produce in Georgia” state program.

    For that end, nonagricultural land plot of 5,025 square m in the mentioned village was handed over to the company.
