NOMINEE JUSTICE MINISTER: RENEWED LAW “ON ENTREPRENEURSHIP” IS DRAFTED

Thea Tsulukiani, nominated as Justice Minister, declared that the renewed law “On Entrepreneurship” is drafted, passing currently regulation impact assessment (RIA) procedures.

Tsulukiani said the mentioned, while speaking at the joint meeting of the Parliament’s committees, held on June 19 within consideration of confidence voting for the renewed composition of the government.

AVERAGE REAL GDP GROWTH IN Q1 MADE UP 5.3%

Sakstat released estimation for the 1^st quarter, according to which GDP in current prices for the period amounted to 9.15 billion lari.

If compared with the same period of last year, average real GDP growth made up 5.3%, while growth of deflator made up 4.3%, Sakstat reported.




STATE AUDIT SERVICE: REPORT ON STATE BUDGET-2017 EXECUTION DOES NOT CONTAIN INFORMATION ON THE ORDER OF PAYMENTS’ EXECUTION

State Audit Service declared that the government’s report on performance of the state budget-2017 does not contain comprehensive information on payments’ execution and compliance with the set limit (30%).

The Service specifies that in 2017, likewise in previous years, the order of payments was violated again and slightly exceeded the limit of 30%, set by the organic law.




IN 2017, NBG ACCOUNTED FOR 98% OF TOTAL DIVIDENDS, PAID TO THE BUDGET FROM STATE-OWNED ENTERPRISES

State Audit Service reported that dividends, paid in 2017 to the state budget from net profit of enterprises with state participation, amounted to 66.36 million lari, making up 99.9% of annual plan.

Unlike previous years, dividends were paid in the reporting year by National Bank of Georgia (NBG), which transferred to the budget 65 million lari, accounting thus for 98% of total volume, the Service specified.




GEORGIA TO HOST AIR RALLIES

From June 23 to June 29, Georgia will host air rallies, which are held under the auspices of air club Rallye Aero France, Georgian Civil Aviation Agency reported. Organizers of the event in Georgia are air company ServiceAir and travel agency Vanilla Sky.

TENDER ANNOUNCED ON CONSTRUCTION OF SHORAPANI-ARGVETA ROAD SECTION THROUGH RIKOTI PASS

Roads Department announced on June 15 tender on construction of Shorapani-Argveta section of Chumateleti-Argveta road through Rikoti Pass (part of East-West highway, E60). Applications are accepted during 90 days.




BSTDB ALLOCATED 120M LARI TO “TBC BANK”

Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB) allocated credit of 120 million lari (an equivalent of $50 million) to TBC Bank. The credit is intended for financing of small and medium business.
