MINISTRIES’ NUMBER IS PLANNED TO REDUCE FROM 14 TO 11
At the briefing today, candidate for the prime minister’s post Mamuka Bakhtadze declared that within the planned structural reforms, from 14 ministries, constituting the government today, 11 will remain. Broader changes will concern 6 ministries, he noted, refraining from specification though.
THE PARLIAMENT TO CONSIDER CONFIDENCE VOTING ON THE GOVERNMENT AT EXTRAORDINARY SESSION ON JUNE 20
“The President of Georgia will be requested to convoke extraordinary session [of the Parliament] so that the session, where confidence voting on the government will be considered, to be held on June 20”, the speaker Irakli Kobakhidze declared at the Parliament bureau’s meeting today. “Until that, hearings on the subject will be held in committees and political groups tomorrow [on June 19]”, he noted.

DEPUTY FINANCE MINISTER: WITHIN REFORM OF VAT REFUND, WE ALREADY REFUNDED 200M LARI

In Georgia, direction of veterinary science has to be strengthened, experts of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) consider. The experts indicate that graduates of the veterinary departments in Georgia generally prefer to find job in urban areas, in the pets’ clinics.
PARTNERSHIP FUND: GEORGIA – JIANGXI PROVINCE CONFERENCE ON INVESTMENT PROMOTION IS PLANNED
Georgia – Jiangxi province (of China) conference on investment promotion is planned, Georgian Partnership Fund declared. As the Fund noted, the conference by its initiative was already held in Tbilisi twice, while this year’s event could be hosted by Batumi.

JSC “AKHTALA RESORT” SOLD FOR 3.76M LARI
At the electronic auction, held recently within the project “50 Objects for Your Hotel”, JSC Akhtala Resort (state-owned stake up to 99.55%) was sold for 3.76 million lari. Winner of the auction was named LLC Global Victory Georgia, which single owner is Global Victory Investments Limited (UAE).

Tbilisi city court decided to dismiss case on insolvency of LLC Poti Refiner. The company, registered in Tbilisi in 2011, will be declared bankrupt by registration cancellation.

IN GEORGIA, THE FIRST DRONE IS REGISTERED
The first unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV, drone) is registered in Georgian Register of Civil UAVs, Civil Aviation Agency reported. Operator of DJI Matrice 600 is private individual, who conducts aerial photo and video shooting by means of the drone and sometimes transports various items, the Agency noted.
