NBG: THE PARLIAMENT APPROVED FRAMEWORK ON BANKS’ SANATION AND RESOLUTION
Georgian Parliament approved amendments, which lay ground for framework for sanation and resolution of banks, National Bank of Georgia (NBG) reported.
According to the amendments, NBG is given the function of resolution of commercial banks.
THE PARLIAMENT’S COMMITTEE ON BRANCH ECONOMY AND ECONOMIC POLICY CONSIDERED RESULTS OF THEMATIC STUDY OF STATE ENTERPRISES
Georgian Parliament reported that the Committee on Branch Economy and Economic Policy considered results of mission-orientated research of state enterprises.
According to the research, there are 236 state enterprises in Georgia for now, which annual turnover exceeds 3 billion lari, while number of occupied – 58,000.
IN 2020, MEMORANDUMS ON MUTUAL RECOGNITION OF SEAFARER CERTIFICATE TO BE SIGNED WITH MORE 4 COUNTRIES
Georgia reached agreement with Australia, Great Britain, Saudi Arabia and Qatar regarding signing at the beginning of 2020 of memorandums on mutual recognition of seafarer certificate.
In 2019, Georgia signed corresponding memorandums with 2 countries – Brazil and Kuwait.
TBILISI CITY HALL: TWO BRIDGES ARE POORLY REHABILITATED
Tbilisi City Hall claims that recently completed rehabilitation of 2 bridges of the capital, so-called Dry and Saarbrucken, was poorly executed “in an infrastructure part”.
Mayor Kakha Kaladze declared this at the capital government meeting today and noted that the contractor company (is not specified) has to conduct works anew for own account.
TBILISI MAYOR: UNFINISHED PROJECTS OF CONSTRUCTION COMPANY “SVETI” ARE PLANNED TO RESUME IN FEBRUARY 2020
At Tbilisi city government meeting today, Mayor Kakha Kaladze declared that incomplete projects of construction company Sveti is planned to resume in February 2020. We “signed an agreement with construction company m2 and will surely solve a problem of 2,500 affected families”, he said.
ECOLOGICAL MONITORING CONDUCTED IN RUSTAVI
Georgian Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture reported about monitoring of ecological situation, conducted in Rustavi.
As the Deputy Minister Nino Tandilashvili pointed, “Within the last 20 years, there was no monitoring of similar scale in industrial enterprises, operating in Rustavi”.
CONSUMER GAS TARIFF IN TBILISI WILL NOT CHANGE DURING 2020-2022
Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulating Commission set today consumer tariffs for several distributors of natural gas.
As the Commission said, tariff of LLC Tbilisi Energy (Tbilisi gas distributor company) in 2020-2022 will remain intact, making up 46.137 tetri per cubic m (VAT inclusive).
“TBC BANK” ATTRACTED 90M LARI FROM EIB
TBC Bank Group declared that its subsidiary, TBC Bank, has signed a credit agreement with the European Investment Bank (EIB), making up equivalent of 90 million lari. The 5-year loan is intended for financing of micro, small and medium business.
