CEC’S PRELIMINARY RESULTS: ZURABISHVILI – 38.64%, VASHADZE – 37.74%
Georgian Central Election Commission (CEC) published preliminary results of presidential elections, held in the country on October 28, according to which Salome Zurabishvili, backed by ruling Georgian Dream, got 38.64% of votes. The candidate of opposition union Strength is in Unity (core member – United National Movement) Grigol Vashadze won 37.74%.

GEORGIAN GOVERNMENT: THE 3RD CONSIDERATION OF THE IMF PROGRAM IS SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED
Georgian government declared about agreement, reached with the IMF regarding successful completion of the 3rd consideration of ongoing the IMF program of Extended Fund Facility (EFF). That became known after the meeting of Georgia’s Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze and head of the IMF mission Mercedes Vera-Martin today.

ECONOMY MINISTER: “HITACHI” WILL STUDY GEORGIAN MARKET
Georgia’s Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Giorgi Kobulia declared that Japanese corporation Hitachi “will study Georgian market and will return with specific proposals”. Agreement on the subject was reached at the meeting of the Minister with Hitachi’s special representative for external relations Yasuo Tanabe, held in Tbilisi on Friday.

Sakartvelos Kapitali (member of BGEO group) reduced capital of JSC Liberty Consumer (investment company), in which it owns 98.24%. The reduction was conducted through redemption by Liberty Consumer of 155.2 million ordinary shares of Sakartvelos Kapitali worth 23.86 million lari and their further cancellation.

“CARTU” FUND HANDED OVER 3 NEW COMPLEXES TO RUGBY UNION
