IN 9 MONTHS, AVERAGE REAL GDP GROWTH MADE UP 4.9%
Sakstat released estimation, according to which Georgia’s real GDP growth, averaged for 9 months of this year, made up 4.9%. Real growth rate in September made up 5.6%, while the rate for the 3rd quarter made up 4%.
IN 9 MONTHS, NUMBER OF ISSUED CONSTRUCTION PERMITS DECREASED BY 4.6% Y-O-Y
Based on officially declared data, Sakstat declared that 7,702 construction permits were issued in Georgia for January-September. If compared with the same period of 2017, the number has decreased by 4.6%, the statistics service noted.
NBG: REGULATION ON RETAIL CREDITING WILL ENTER IN FORCE SUPPOSEDLY BEFORE NOVEMBER 15
National Bank of Georgia (NBG) declared about decision to postpone for several days enactment of regulation on credit issuing to private individuals, specifying that it will enter in force supposedly no later than November 15.
As NBG explained, consultations in connection with the document are still underway, being related to specifications of technical character of separate articles and points and aiming simplification.
IN NOVEMBER, TURKISH BUSINESS DELEGATION TO VISIT GEORGIA
Georgian Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development declared that delegation of Turkish companies, including furniture manufacturers, will visit the country on November 12-15. As the Ministry said, the delegation, invited by the Georgian side, will acquaint with Georgia’s investment environment and business opportunities on the spot.

Georgian Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development Economics reported that within his visit to Turkey, the Minister Giorgi Kobulia met with Turkish Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Bekir Pakdemirli.
According to Kobulia, the Turkish Minister already ordered to send the commission to Georgia, which will examine phytosanitary norms on local meat-processing plants.
INSURANCE OF CITRUSES TO BE AVAILABLE UNTIL NOVEMBER 5
Within the state agroinsurance project, farmers will be able to insure citruses until November 5, Georgian Agency for Agricultural Projects Management declared. The state co-funds 70% of the insurance policy cost.
