Mamuka Khazaradze, founder of public movement Lelo, declared that statement of Bidzina Ivanishvili, billionaire leader of ruling Georgian Dream, about purchase of objects in Tskaltubo (spa resort in Imereti region) contains “signs of racket under the cover of nobility”.

Ivanishvili “decided to buyout in the city of Tskaltubo 22 hotels and 9 medical baths from 27 private investors”, Khazaradze pointed.

IN 9 MONTHS, FUEL IMPORT DECREASED BY 4.3% Y-O-Y

Georgian Union of Oil-Product Importers reported that Georgia’s import of petrol and diesel fuel amounted for 9 months of this year to 779,400 t. If compared with the same period of last year, the volume has decreased by 4.3%, the Union noted.

The EU representation in Georgia reported about start of the 2^nd phase of the EU-supported program “Skills4Jobs” in Georgia. Total budget of the 5-year phase amounts to 48.85 million EUR.




INTRODUCTION OF SYSTEM OF AUTOMATIC EXCHANGE OF INFORMATION FOR TAXATION NEEDS IS PLANNED

Georgian Finance Ministry declared that introduction of system of automatic exchange of information (AEOI) for taxation needs (data on financial assets and cash flows) is planned in the country.

The Ministry noted that over 80 countries already exchange such information in automatic mode, while over 100 countries officially stated their readiness to join AEOI.




ECONOMY MINISTER: 3-YEAR PROGRAM OF GAS INSTALLATION WILL RESULT IN GAS SUPPLY TO ADDITIONAL UP TO 60 VILLAGES IN IMERETI

Georgia’s Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Natia Turnava indicated that within 3-year program of gas installation, 226 settlements were approved, but upon work on the state budget-2020, their number was increased up to 300. In particular, gas will be additionally installed to about 60 settlements in Imereti region, she said.

The state could not attract investors in Abastumani for decades, “however, as soon as there appeared large-scale plan of Abastumani development and a guarantee, private business joined the project with big eagerness”, Ivanishvili pointed.

Bidzina Ivanishvili, billionaire leader of ruling Georgian Dream, declared that he decided to buyout in Tskaltubo (spa resort in Imereti region) “all 22 hotels, 9 baths and to carry out their full rehabilitation, within unified plan and concept of the resort development”. The concept of rehabilitation is based on the plan, developed by Swiss consulting company Kohl&Partners, he noted.
