    GEORGIA TO HOLD CONSULTATIONS WITH EUROPEAN COMMISSION REGARDING PROGRAM OF MACROFINANCIAL SUPPORT

    Georgian government declared that consultations with European Commission will be held in connection with program of macrofinancial support.

    Regulation, adopted recently by the government, assigns the Finance Ministry to begin the consultations.


    EIB MISSION MONITORS FUNDED PROJECTS IN GEORGIA

    Georgian Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure reported that mission of European Investment Bank (EIB) has arrived to Georgia and monitors the projects, financed by bank. Today, members of the mission held a meeting in Roads Department.


    GEORGIAN-ARMENIAN BUSINESS FORUM HELD IN YEREVAN

    Today, a business forum was held in Yerevan, gathering together representatives of over 150 Armenian and Georgian companies, Georgian Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development reported. The event was organized by chambers of commerce and industry of Georgia and Armenia.

    “SOCIETE GENERALE” SOLD THE STAKE IN “TBC PLC”

    TBC PLC (parent structure of TBC Bank) reported that it was notified on June 28 by Societe Generale regarding sale of the latter’s stake in TBC PLC. In total, 2.8 million ordinary shares are sold, i.e. entire stake of the French group.


    LIABILITY INSURANCE PREMIUM IN Q1 DECREASED BY 1.9% Y-O-Y

    State Service for Insurance Supervision reported that premium, attracted as of March 31 in liability insurance totaled to 3.95 million lari, decreasing year-on-year by 1.9%. This kind of insurance accounts for 2.7% of total premium for the period.


    ONLY 2 COMPANIES CONDUCTED INSURANCE OF CREDIT OBLIGATIONS IN Q1

    State Service for Insurance Supervision reported that in the 1st quarter, insurance of credit obligations was conducted only by TBC Insurance (former Kopenbur) and Tao.

    In the reporting period, TBC Insurance has attracted premium of 192,608 lari, accounting thus for 99.5% of total premium in this segment.


    FINANCIAL LOSS INSURANCE PREMIUM IN Q1 INCREASED BY 16.5% Y-O-Y

    State Service for Insurance Supervision reported that premium, attracted as of March 31 in insurance of financial losses totaled to 951,590 lari, increasing year-on-year by 16.5%. This kind of insurance accounts for 0.7% of total premium for the period.


    PRICE DETERMINED OF LICENSE FOR USE OF MANGANESE-SILICON WASTE IN ZESTAPONI

    According to the government’s order, starting price of the license for use of collected technogenic waste of manganese-silicon in Zestaponi will make 100,000 lari.

    The order also establishes additional condition for license issuing.


    AJARA MINISTRY OF FINANCE AND ECONOMY PUT LAND PLOTS IN BATUMI ON AUCTION

    Ajara Ministry of Finance and Economy put several land plots in Batumi on auction, aiming construction of multipurpose buildings. Termed auction will expire on July 13.


    “BOLERO&COMPANY” GOT LAND SITE FOR PARKING CONSTRUCTION

    By order of the government, state-owned property in Gurjaani (Kakheti region) is handed over through direct sale to LLC Bolero&Company.

    The matter concerns two nonagricultural land sites (13,682 square m and 20,536 square m).
