CRITICAL ESTIMATIONS

Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) has made public the estimation of presidential elections in Georgia, while re-elected president Mikheil Saakashvili made a speech. Zurab Tskitishvili, founder of JSC Amaltea (dairy producer), told Sarke that the company will resume production, which was stopped since the year 2006, in spring. The company planned to resume its functioning in January this year, but failed to finish re-equipment process in the enterprise timely.

MCG AND GEORGIAN OIL AND GAS CORPORATION SIGNED NEXT AGREEMENT ON MAIN GAS PIPELINE REHABILITATION

Agreement was signed today between Millennium Challenge Georgia (MCG) and LLC Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation, according to which 2nd and 3rd phases of main gas pipeline rehabilitation project will start. Funding at $25 million is envisaged for the works that will last 25 months.
REPAIR WORKS ON TSITELI KHIDI – TSALKA – ALASTANI MAIN GAS PIPELINE ARE COMPLETED

LLC Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation announced that rehabilitation of Tsiteli Khidi – Tsalka – Alastani main gas pipeline, aimed gas providing to Akhalkalaki district, has been completed. Zurab Janjgava, director general of the Corporation, and Alexander Khetaguri, Georgian Energy Minister, attended presentation of the repaired 700-m section and newly constructed 6-km section today.

GEORGIAN OIL AND GAS CORPORATION FINANCES GAS PIPELINE CONSTRUCTION OVER MTKVARI RIVER BY 3M LARI

Zurab Janjgava, general director of Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation, declared that the corporation has issued 3 million lari for gas pipeline construction over Mtkvari River. Construction works, which last already two months, should be finished by December 10.
CONSTRUCTION WORKS ON MAIN GAS PIPELINE IN AKHALKALAKI DISTRICT STARTED

According to LLC Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation, construction works on 6 km section of main gas pipeline Red Bridge – Tsalka – Alastani, aiming further supply gas to Akhalkalaki district, have already begun. Ditch of 2.5 km is already dug and polyethylene pipes are laid on 1.8 km.
PRIME MINISTER CANDIDATE MAKES ACCENTS ON EMPLOYMENT LEVEL RISE

Lado Gurgenidze, candidate for a post of prime minister, said at the meeting of Parliament bureau that the main task of the new government is to keep the continuity of economic policy, while adjusting social policy towards employment rise.
