ABKHAZIAN SIDE INSISTS ON CONNECTION OF THE REFUGEE PROBLEM WITH THE ECONOMIC QUESTIONS

At the 5^th Coordination Counsel sitting on Georgian-Abkhazian settlement, held yesterday in Sukhumi, were discussed the security questions and of following the regime on ceasing the fire in Gali region. Chairman of the sitting, the Head of the UN mission Liviu Bota emphasized that all these key questions must be solved in the light of May 25 Gagra protocol.

According to the Supreme Counsel Chairman of the Abkhazian autonomous republic, this is challenged by the fact that presently acting Constitution of the autonomy, adopted already in 1978, contradicts the Georgian Constitution of 1995. In the new Constitution, during forming of which should be considered the interests of the whole Abkhazian population, great part of which presently is in exile, must be fixed the solidity and territorial integrity of the country.
