ANNUAL INFLATION IN AUGUST MADE UP 3.1%
Sakstat reported that annual inflation in August made up 3.1%. Monthly inflation (i.e. being compared with previous month, July), made up 0.5%.
IMF MISSION FORECASTS GEORGIAN ECONOMIC GROWTH IN 2018 AT 5.5%
The IMF mission released on August 28 end-of-mission statement, raising forecast for Georgian economic growth in 2018 up to 5.5%. To remind, previous forecast made up 4.8%.
“FITCH” AFFIRMED GEORGIA’S RATING AT “BB-” WITH POSITIVE OUTLOOK
Fitch Ratings declared on August 24 about affirmation of Georgia’s sovereign credit rating at “BB-” level with positive outlook. To remind, the agency has raised the outlook from stable to positive in March.

Referring to final results of audit of International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), Georgian Civil Aviation Agency declared that Georgia’s aggregated indicator of international civil aviation standards and practice implementation makes up 87.64%.
The Agency pointed that from the point of view of international aviation standards and supervision introduction, Georgia occupies the 30th place in the world, the 10th – in Europe and the 1st – in the region.
KFW TO ALLOCATE 150M EUR FOR CONSTRUCTION OF UNDERGROUND GAS STORAGE IN GEORGIA
German reconstruction bank (KfW) will allocate to Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation 150 million EUR for construction of underground gas storage on Samgori South Arch field.
Respective agreement was signed in Tbilisi on August 24, within visit of German federal chancellor Angela Merkel to Georgia.
GERMANY ALLOCATED PREFERENTIAL LOAN FOR PROGRAM OF WATER SUPPLY IN AJARA VILLAGES
German government allocated preferential loan of 40 million EUR and grant of 3 million EUR for implementation of the program of water supply and sewerage in villages of Ajara.

FOR REHABILITATION OF LOCAL ROADS IN 12 MUNICIPALITIES, 80M LARI WILL BE SPENT
At the meeting on August 29, the Georgian government approved the decree on rehabilitation of local roads in 12 municipalities of the country. As Prime Minister’s press service reported, up to 80 million lari will be spent for that end.
PRIME MINISTER: PSHAV-KHEVSURETI AND GUDAMAKARI TO BE LINKED TO INTERNET, WHILE OVER 100 VILLAGES WILL GOT ELECTRICITY SUPPLY
Georgia’s Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze declared that internetization of Pshav-Khevsureti mountain region and Gudamakari gorge will be conducted, while over 100 villages, which do not have electricity now, will got supply. The Premier declared his at the news briefing before the government meeting on August 29.
