IN 2022, CARGO SHIPPED BY GEORGIAN TRANSPORT BRANCH INCREASED IN VOLUME BY 6.8%
Georgian Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development reported that in 2022, Georgian transport sectors (motor transport, railway, civil aviation) shipped 47.3 million t of cargo. If compared with 2021, the volume has increased by 6.8%.

Georgian Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development reported that in 2022, Georgian transport sectors (motor transport, railway, civil aviation) transported 410 million passengers. If compared with 2021, the number has increased by 49.5%.

Colliers Georgia reported that in 2022, volume of Tbilisi market of residential apartments has increased by 30% and totaled to $2.27 billion.
Number of transactions with Tbilisi residential apartments in the reporting year has increased by 17% and amounted to 42,215, the company said.

Colliers Georgia reported that in 2022, volume of Batumi market of residential apartments has increased by 47% and totaled to $752 million.
Number of transactions with Batumi residential apartments in the reporting year has increased by 40% and amounted to 17,090, the company said.
ADB TO PROVIDE TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO GEORGIA IN REFORMING GENERAL EDUCATION
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has started provision of technical assistance to reform of general education system in Georgia, the ADB Georgian office reported. Approval of the relevant program is planned in the 4th quarter of this year.
ADB: ECOSYSTEM OF TECHNOLOGY STARTUPS IN GEORGIA REQUIRES DEVELOPMENT
“An ecosystem of technology-based startups is emerging in Georgia, but there is still considerable room for development, refinement and adaptation”, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) said in the report released today.
The report indicates that in Georgia, similarly to many other countries, fintech and e-commerce startups predominate, while startups focused on education, healthcare, agriculture and environmental protection are developing with less pace.
GEORGIAN WINEMAKERS PARTICIPATE IN EXHIBITION IN JAPAN
Georgian National Wine Agency reported that 16 Georgian winemaking companies take part in “Foodex Japan 2023”, the food and beverage exhibition in Tokyo. Georgia has been represented at this exhibition since 2015.
