SHEVARDNADZE WILL PARTICIPATE IN THE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE IN YALTA
The President of Georgia Eduard Shevardnadze is leaving for Yalta on September 10. He will participate in the international conference on the topic “The Co-Operation Of The Black Sea And Baltic Basin Countries: 21st Century Without Borders With Europe”.
VALERI CHKHEIDZE NOT PARTICIPATING IN THE MEETING OF COMMANDER-IN CHIEFS OF CIS COUNTRIES’ FRONTIER TROOPS
The head of the Department on the Border Protection of Georgia Valeri Chkheidze explained his decision not to participate in the meeting, which opened in Bishkek (Kirgistan) today, by the disagreement on a number of important question with his counterparts of the CIS countries. As Chkheidze declared at the press conference on September 8, in the first place the division of the state borders into exterior and interior ones is unacceptable to Georgia.

EBRD GOING TO SPECIFY THE FOREGROUND DIRECTIONS FOR CREDIT ALLOCATIONS
The director of the Caucasian region of EBRD Linds Forbes and the bank’s permanent representative in Georgia Jurgen Schramm met the State Minister Vazha Lortkipanidze on September 8. They requested the Georgian side to introduce proposals on the foreground spheres for the allocation of their credits.

As it has been informed at the Georgian International Oil Corporation, this announcement has been made at the next round of the negotiations of the working groups on the main export pipe-line project, through which the Caspian big oil will be transported to the world market. During the negotiations the Georgian side has been headed by the president of the corporation Giorgi Chanturia, as for Azerbaijanian side – by the vice president of The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic Valekh Alikserov.

THE FIRST LOT OF PIPES MADE BY THE RUSTAVI METALLURGISTS SEND OUT TO AZERBAIJAN
Rustavi metallurgic plant has sent 400 tons of pipes to Azerbaijan. According to the placed order it is envisaged to export 40,000 tons of pipes, 15,000 tons during one year.
