IN 2020, GEORGIA TO HOST OECD EURASIAN WEEK
Georgian Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development announced that in March 2020, the country will host Eurasian Week of OECD (Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development). According to the Ministry, up to 300 representatives of OECD and others international organizations (EBRD, WB, etc.), state, business and civil sectors will take part in the forum.

ASSOCIATION OF GEORGIA’S INTERNATIONAL INVESTORS: AJARA GOVERNMENT DECLARES ABOUT RENEWAL OF INVESTMENT PROJECTS OF 1B LARI WITHIN A YEAR
Ajara government declared that over 30 investment projects are renewed in the autonomy for the last year, which total cost makes up about 1 billion lari, Association of International Investors of Georgia reported. The Association attributes the mentioned to regulations, enacted involved by the Ajara government a year ago.
WITHIN THE USAID’S “ZRDA”, INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS TO BE PREPARED
Within the USAID program “Zrda”, 6 infrastructure projects will be prepared in 4 selected municipalities (Zugdidi, Tsalenjikha, Khashuri and Kareli), Georgian Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure reported. These projects (rehabilitation of water supply networks, drainage canals and coast-protecting structures) will be transferred for implementation to municipalities, the Ministry noted.
MINISTRY OF REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND INFRASTRUCTURE: 63 NEW SCHOOLS WILL BE BUILT IN REGIONS IN 2019-2020
Georgian Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure declared that 63 new schools will be built and 88 schools will be totally rehabilitated in regions of the country during 2019-2020. Designing and somewhere already construction is launched on 48 new schools, as well as rehabilitation of 83 schools are already started, the Ministry said, separating case of 2 schools, where full rehabilitation is underway.
REHABILITATION OF PONICHALA-MARNEULI-GUGUTI ROAD SECTION IS COMPLETED
Georgian Roads Department reported about completion of rehabilitation in 7-km section of Ponichala-Marneuli-Guguti motor road of international importance (Kvemo Kartli region). According to the Department, the project worth 6.76 million lari was financed from the state budget.
ALIENATION OF LLC “KARTLI WIND POWER PLANT” IS CONSIDERED
Approval of action plan on alienation of whole stake in LLC Kartli Wind Power Plant was included in agenda of Georgian government meeting today. Plans of the power plant’s alienation were announced already in 2018.

“PRODUCE IN GEORGIA” AGENCY: GEORGIAN KIDSWEAR COMPANY DELIVERED OWN PRODUCTION TO FRANCE
Georgian Economy and Sustainable Development Ministry’s Agency Produce in Georgia reported that Georgian kidswear producer, company Rko, has exported its production to France. As the Agency noted, the French side became interested in the Georgian production after acquaintance at the international exhibition “Playtime Paris”.
