REPRESENTATIVES OF 26 AUSTRIAN COMPANIES TAKE PART IN GEORGIA-AUSTRIA BUSINESS FORUM

Delegation, consisting of representatives of 26 Austrian companies, arrived today to Tbilisi in order to take part in Georgia-Austria business forum. Georgian part at the forum will be represented by heads of over 100 companies.




DEPUTY CHAIR OF HEALTHCARE AND SOCIAL ISSUES COMMITTEE: CREDIT GUARANTEE FUND MUST BE LAUNCHED ASAP

Levan Koberidze, vice-chairman of the Parliament’s Committee on Healthcare and Social Issues, declared that credit guarantee fund must be launched as soon as possible. This is the way, by which development of small and medium business and growth of employment has to be reached, he pointed.




GEORGIA PLANS TO RECEIVE 11M INTERNATIONAL VISITORS BY 2025

National Tourism Administration forecasts that annual number of foreign visitors in Georgia will reach 11 million by 2025, while revenues from tourism will amount to $6.6 billion. Share of tourism in GDP is forecasted to grow up to 7.9%.




NEW MARKETING CAMPAIGN WILL BE CONDUCTED TOGETHER WITH “GOOGLE”

New marketing campaign will be conducted together with Google, Georgian National Tourism Administration declared. Within the campaign (May 29 – August 29), commercials on touristic sights of Georgia will be placed on video portal YouTube.




IN TELAVI, MUSEUM OF BATONIS-TSIKHE FORTRESS OPENED

In Telavi (Kakheti region), museum of Batonis-Tsikhe fortress opened, displaying 65,000 exhibits. Cost of the museum project and restoration of the palace of king Erekle II totaled to 14 million lari, administration of Georgian government reported.




THE GOVERNMENT TO ALLOCATE 30M LARI TO TBILISI CITY HALL FOR ARRANGEMENT OF INFRASTRUCTURE

Tbilisi City Hall will receive from the state budget additional 30 million lari for implementation of infrastructure projects in the capital, administration of Georgian government declared.

As the administration noted, this sum will allow the City Hall to implement projects, planned for 2019-2020, already this year.




TBILISI CITY HALL ALLOCATED LAND PLOTS FOR AGGRIEVED MEMBERS OF HOUSING COOPERATIVES

At the meeting of the capital government today, Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze declared that land plots are allocated for aggrieved members of housing cooperatives, where construction of houses is planned. There are over 3,000 affected families in the capitals, who could not receive the living spaces due to them since from 1990-ies, he pointed.

GARMENT FACTORY OPENED IN KUTAISI WITHIN “PRODUCE IN GEORGIA” PROGRAM

The Economy and Sustainable Development Ministry’s Agency Produce in Georgia announced that garment factory MGMTex will be officially opened in Kutaisi on May 17. As the Agency noted, the factory, which was launched within “Produce in Georgia” state program in April, will be able to produce clothes of 3.3 million lari annually.
