According to Astamur Tania, the aid of the President of the self-proclaimed Republic, Sukhumi is not going to discuss the plan for the division of organic powers with Tbilisi. UN DEVELOPING NEW ATTITUDE TOWARDS THE PROBLEM OF FORCIBLY DISPLACED PEOPLE

The special representative of the UN Secretary General on displaced people Francis Deng declared at the press conference today that “the main thing for us – to return forcibly displaced people to their permanent residence, but before that, we think and the Georgian government agrees with us that these people are to take the most active part in the country’s development”. In this connection, Deng noted that the active consultations are being held with the governmental and non-governmental organizations of Georgia for the placement of the displaced people and creation of the special infrastructure for the improvement of their living conditions.




SKIRMISH IN SHAMGONA

As Sarke was informed by the sources at the power structures, a group of Abkhaz boyeviks entered this village, located in the near vicinity of the administrative border with the Gali region for hijacking a car.
