BUSINESS DELEGATION OF HONG KONG GETS ACQUAINTED WITH INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITIES OF GEORGIA
Today Georgia – Hong Kong business forum was held in Tbilisi, which was dedicated to presentation of investment opportunities of Georgia. The event was organized within the visit to Georgia of business delegation of Hong Kong (March 18-20).
IN Q4 OF 2018, AVERAGE MONTHLY NOMINAL SALARY INCREASED BY 5.4% Y-O-Y
Sakstat reported that average monthly nominal salary in Georgia amounted in the 4th quarter of 2018 to 1,202 lari, increasing by 5.4% (by 61.1 lari). Georgian statistics service noted that growth of salaries was observed practically in all sectors.
IN 2018, NUMBER OF DOMESTIC VISITORS OF 15 YEARS AND ABOVE INCREASED BY 4%, THEIR EXPENSES – BY 6.5%
Sakstat reported that in 2018, average monthly number of domestic visitors of 15 years and above made up 914,100 in Georgia. This indicator by 4% exceeds data of 2017, Georgian statistics service noted.
HEAD OF TOURISM ADMINISTRATION: SHARE OF HIGHLY-PAYABLE MARKETS HAS TO REACH 30% BY 2025
Our goal is to decrease share of markets in the tourism sphere, which are traditional for Georgia, to 70% by 2025, while to increase share of highly-payable markets to 30%, head of Georgia’s National Tourism Administration Mariam Kvrivishvili declared. In 2015, share of the traditional markets made up 91%, she noted.
THE GOVERNMENT: 69M LARI WERE ISSUED IN 2018 AS BENEFITS FOR INHABITANTS OF MOUNTAIN REGIONS
As benefits for inhabitants of mountain regions, 69 million lari were issued in 2018, Georgian government reported.
Benefits apply, in particular, to pensioners, who are permanently reside in mountain settlements, beneficiaries of social assistance, large families, teachers, medical staff.
PRIME MINISTER: OUR GOAL IS TO TURN GEORGIA INTO REGIONAL LEADER IN TERMS OF PROVISION OF HEALTHCARE SERVICES TOO
Georgia’s Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze stated that “the most important task of our economic strategy is transformation of Georgia into economic center of the region”.
Within this strategy, the country has to become “the regional leader” in provision of healthcare services too, Bakhtadze declared, while speaking today at the opening of new building of New Hospitals in Tbilisi.
WORKS WITHIN UNIFIED NAVIGATION PROJECT ARE COMPLETED IN SAGAREJO MUNICIPALITY
Within the project on creation and development of the unified navigation system, field descriptive works are completed in villages of Sagarejo municipality (Kakheti region), Georgian National Agency of Public Register reported.
According to the Agency, 17,137 land plots, 31,762 houses, 17,137 address units, 1,054 objects of interest and 824 road signs were described in 45 villages of the municipality.
