TI Georgia, Georgian branch of Transparency International, prepared review of 6-month results of execution of Georgia’s state budget-2020, which indicates that debt of the government as of June 30 made up 24.1 billion lari, or 49% of GDP for the last year.
As of December 31, 2019, debt of the government made up 20.6 billion lari, or 41.3% of last year’s GDP.

Deficit of Georgia’s state budget was planned for 6 months of 2020 at the level of 924 million lari, while revised because of COVID-19 plan envisages growth of the volume up to 2.06 billion lari (i.e. 2.2 times), specifies TI Georgia, Georgian branch of Transparency International.
At that, factual 6-month deficit of the budget amounted to 2.3 billion lari (by 12% more that the revised plan envisaged), the organization notes.

Sum, allocated for 6-month implementation of the country’s universal healthcare program, appeared insufficient again, the same way as in the previous year, notes TI Georgia, Georgian branch of Transparency International.
In particular, initial plan was increased by 89 million and made up 523 million lari (respectively, growth makes up 20.5%), the organization specifies.
